midfield. ok, put adcock in backline if you have him already in midfield

rucks. too much money on bench, j white sydney will help on the bench

forwards. can't argue, learn to post about other teams first according to the mods rules first.

hard to get rid of bias when doing this the first time but you have 7 freo players (4 in the back) will they all play week in week out?

get rid of leunberger for a spencer or pyke

I would put Adcock in to defence and downgrade burger to a 94ker no point having 210k on your bench. I would start your defence again all of those players bar Hodge i dont think are worth having.

Bold are the ones i am hoping to keep for the season. 14 definites, while if Higgins and Raines can keep form all year i will only need to replace six guys for the entire season which i think is a strong position to be starting the season in.


Now for some analysis:

Ogrebait:
Try to get some more keepers in your lineup. You only get 20 trades for the season which means you want at least half of your starting list 10-14 to be in the team all year. Looking at your squad there is not enough guys who will stay all year.
Hodge, Judd, Corey, Selwood, Sandi, Pav, Deledio are your only certs. In your mid range try and find some keepers.

Tobias Blues:
Great team. Similar to mine except you have a more balanced forward/mid while i have stacked the mids. I'd only look at Roughie in for Fev, but depends how much Roughie can do with Buddy in the side. And i wouldn't take the punt on McIntosh. Any players on the bubble with Laidley are hard to see staying all year. Maybe get a Mitch Clark who i think Vossy will play most of the season. Other then that i would keep the rest pretty much unchanged.

Inter:
Take Chappy out, swith Higgins foward and use the extra cash in the middle on either Gibbs, Dal Santo, Wells or another solid mid. Otherwise good side.

Rusty:
Solid side. I wouldn't risk Masten go for either Ebert or try and get some cash for Tuck or Hasleby. Move Higgins forward and get rid of Hale as he is too much of a risk IMO and get another gun midfielder with that cash. And just check the emergenices. There are other guys out there who are more likely to play round 1.

Satan:
I'm all for going risky and trying the rookies, but try and limit it to three max starting. Try and downgrade one or two of the key forwards like Bradshaw and try and get some more experienced cheap players in. I like this strategy but maybe try and reduce the rookies starting.

You team looks good! allot of players i like and you have the value players that are dirt cheap and will go up in price (well everyone does) but you need that to stay with these other guys.

IF i was changing my team from yours i would change Geary to Hill then you have about $80,000 up your sleeve - i would use that to change Dal Santo to Bartel.

Most of your rookies look great the only ones i'm not sure off are the ones i'm not sure of (make sense)

Defence: Good strong defence. Maybe look at someone like Goddard to try and fit in somewhere?
Midfield: Very strong. However, I think Ablett is way overpriced, and it may be better to go for someone cheaper and save yourself 150 grand. ive got selwood and foley too, they look to be good this year.
Ruck: Nothing really to criticise.
Forward: You sure you want Lucas? He may be cheap for the standard player he CAN be, but he hasn't performed too well recently.

I have doubts over Shaw and Hansen..for their price range.

How much do you have left in the bank?

Jackson I've been tracking since Nab cup round 1 and he's had some great stats for his price range. Lovett has been awesome also. These two players I think are worth more than the SC asking price given their form.

Yep, Vespremi injured. Porpz coming back from a knee (is he even playing?) Rusling coming back from injury also so keep that in mind.

I saw Judd play against the roos in the nab and judd looked amazing...
bartel is steady but how long will it be until selwood becomes geelong's #2 midfield playmaker...

if gazza can average 125-130 (odds look pretty good), that becomes 250-260 as a captain.... questions is, do you pay 712k for 250 points a week....

I figure my midfield was a bit overdone, got rid of thompson and birchall for goddard and vince
