this is my team just messed around with it and will tweak when rd1 teams are out. too many rookies going down not sure about them any suggestions on good rookies would be great.
Backline: Goddard, Gibbs, Enright, Deledio, Maleceski, Otten, Heppel (toy, puopolo, duigan)
Midfield: Swan, Boyd, Bartel/Selwood??, Sylvia, Swallow, Harris(Atley, Hibberd, Wallis??)
Rucks; Sandi, Cox (Smith, Derickx)
Forwards: Franklin, Roo, Pav, ROK?? Knights, Krakoeur, Prestia (Richardson, Matera, Smith)
the question marks are players not sure about.
any remarks will be good cheers
-Malceski Is already out so get rid of him
-Toy might not get many games as he is one of the youngest in the backline at gc, id take someone else from there backline such as M.Coad or D.Stanley
-Bartel is always reliable but so is selwood so just depends on how you feel.
-Derickx got dropped from the nab challange so most likely wont be a starter in round one.
- Not sure about Ryan O'Keefe but could pay off
B: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grimes, H.Shaw, Otten, Heppell (toy, duigan, puopolo)
C: Swan, Boyd, Bartel, S.Burgoyne, Foley, Swallow (Prestia, Hibberd, Wallis)
R: Cox, Jolly (Smith, Derickx)
F: Chapman, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Higgins, Knights, Krakouer, Richardson (matera, i smith, z skinner)

Cheers for the feedback, not a fan myself of Ryan Okeefe but i can't find any other viable players around his price range, only rioli but since i have buddy i don't want two hawks in my forward line seeing it is also the weakest part of my team.
Your forward criticisms are probably spot on, they were the guys I just brought in (chapman because i wanted a gun dual position mid/fwd, sylvia because he has alot of upside compared to other premium forwards )...switched back to my original lineup (except I had mzungu, hibberd and wallis on the bench in the mids before), do you think it is better or worse? While i'm here.
- Backs are solid
- Centres are also solid, surprised you don't have Harris though. Libba is ahead of Wallis and looks like he could play round 1 after a good performance today
- Rucks are good, hopefully Smith can be that backup option for you
- Forward line is very risky Chapman injured at the moment, Sylvia injury risk, Higgins injury risk, knights injury risk. I'd suggest changing two of them.

2nd year player...thoughts appreciated
Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Heppel, (Toy, Duigan, Puopolo)
Mids: Swan, Boyd, J. Selwood, Conca, Mzungu, Altey, (Swallow, Harris, Hibberd)
Rucks: Sandilands, Cox, (Tippett, Z. Smith)
Forwards: Chapman, Franklin, Riewoldt, Pavlich, Rioli, Krakouer, Richardson, (Prestia, Matera, Darling)
Rookies are obviously a matter of waiting for the round 1 team sheets and adjusting. puopolo and smith are in there because of their potential in the long run. if they aren't named r1, i will switch them out for the best rookie amongst whoever is and keep them in mind for potential downgrades later on.Not sure how soon they will play - can't see smith going rd1 and I think it would be between cheney and pop for a place
After playing around with it a bit today - found that filling out the squad feels much easier this year than last - definitely feeling the extra heaviness in the wallet.
BACKS:
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Duffield, Adcock, Otten, Stanley (Duigan, Hibberd, Puopolo)
Pretty happy with the backs, although Broughton/Duffield/Grimes will likely be changed a million times before lockin. Adcock feels a bit unconfortable, but on the other hand, not sure I want 5 starting keepers in the back, nor do I want to start 2 rookies. Around that price been having trouble finding many options.
MIDS:
Swan, Montagna, Bartel, Foley, Heppel, Atley ( Swallow, Harris, I. Smith )
Not displeased, although not sure these are the right rookies. No doubt they' get shifted about aswell. Mzungu out is quite annoying too.
RUCK:
Cox, Sandilands ( Z.Smith, Bailey )
Like Cox this year, and keep changing my mind between Sandilands and a midpricer or some sort. Just feel like Sandi will be pretty far away from last year.
FORWARDS:
Franklin, Goodes, Reiwoldt, Rioli, Higgins, Dangerfield, Krakouer ( Matera, Richardson, Darling )
Chapman was in the team for ages, but then I chickened out. Rate Dangerfield to go bang this year, and am taking the gamble on higgins. Really like Franklin and Rioli this year but not sure if I can stomach 2 hawks forward. But the other options don't appeal too much.
Any comments appreciated.
You've used pretty good logic with all your picks so I'm sure you have considered all this, but...
Heppell last night played a shut down role in defense so he is possibly not someone you want starting - to avoid this Smith would need to play round 1 and by all reports I've seen may struggle to get a game from the start. Mzungu out has probably affected everyone so that last rookie pick will come down to round 1 teams.
Your defense is solid and who you pick out of duffield/broughton/grimes is neither here nor there. All of those players missing during multi-team bye rounds.
Your midfield is different to mine because I've gone with 4 keepers and left the tempting mid priced options. Foley is probably the best choice with perhaps Sloane a close second on NAB form.
Rucks speak for themselves. Forwards are fine except for the problem you are already aware of - Hawthorn, also in a multi-team bye round. Thats a good thing if you are playing for the league win, mind you...
Dangerfield is probably unique - I don't necessarily think he has a good DT game yet, but at some point will be excellent. If you pick it correctly as this year then well done.
Heavy Guns and Rookies - Only problem I have now is with alot of JS issues/injuries to rookies. I'm not so confident with the ones that are left! I look at half those rookies and alarm bells ring. Coad, Toy, Smith, Wallis, Atley, Hibberd and Darling all get me abit nervous JS wise.here is my team at the present moment. rookies will change depending on the final team announcement but the basic structure is definite with the exception of injuries. feedback?
