At this point in time I would actually like the season scrapped. We are at the beck and call of what the Vics want. Training in groups of 2 to appease what the Peoples Republic of Victoria laws is head blowing even though we are a bit more liberal with our rules. They want Hubs there although there rules are strict. Yes it was dumb for a larger group to try what they did. They should have known better. I am loosing interest in AFL quickly.

Do we need any further evidence to dislike Derwayne? A draft sanction for a rule that will dissolve in two days anyway, is this bloke serious?

This is akin to the admin errors regarding drug test reporting for player whereabouts, we aren’t gaining any advantage by our players training in a larger group for one session! Heck, Melbourne didn’t get any draft sanctions for admitting to tanking ffs

Don't listen to Dwayne. He is a crows hater from way back. Draft picks? Lol. Yeah next they will be saying take the licence away. American sports leagues would have a good laugh at us.

Those who still have jobs will be painfully aware that every passing week without an AFL restart is another week towards them joining former colleagues on JobSeeker

We already have the WA government insisting their footballers have to follow the 2 week self isolation, ie WA football teams cannot return to WA and keep playing.

What if the Vic government now says to the AFL: “we were going to approve your proposal, however yesterday’s events make it clear that your employees are not capable of following the rules, so we will be holding off for one more month and then reassess”

Diet is a significant part of the daily life of an AFL player, they eat at the club every day and their pregame meals are prepared for them. They arent highly paid either so its a simple decision to keep them

Well, i already knew the vfl was corrupt tbh and already knew the players were entitled whingers but this only further reinforced it. Just scrap the season. Let the players realise the game doesn't revolve around them after their pay is cut 70%.
