According to Ten news our final practice match will have the Power vs Saints as the opening act for our game vs Sydney. Something about helping low crowds. Did they say it was definently happening?

I still won't be going. I gather they hope to get all the crows fans to hang around at the end to watch the saints

Actually I'm pretty sure they mentioned that our game would be second.
What time does it start????????
Id watch both games if its free. (Send the tickets already AFC)
But cant get there untill 3pm, at the earliest
There are no details regarding the NAB Challenge double header on the AFC website as of yet and neither Seven nor Nine had any mention of the event first reported this afternoon by Ten News.
I would presume the first game (Power/Saints) will begin at around 3:00 or 3:30 yet no later than 4 pm so as to allow St Kilda to catch the last flight back to Melbourne on Friday evening.
If this is the case, expect the Crows/Swans game to commence at approximately 6:00 or 6:30 pm with match concluding under lights.

Good to see they have catered for the Port fans by playing the game at 3pm.
I think its a real good idea if it was on a Saturday.
3 on a Friday? why bother? (awaiting wisecrack about crowds being similar to regular season)

What would be the reason why this wouldnt be on Saturday?
If I dont have to work then ill be making the drive down for the games, but I may be one of about 50 for the Port game.
On a Saturday...double header, free entry for AAMI/Season ticket holders, great value...you'd be pushing 10k at least id say. Id even want that to be an annual thing when both clubs are out of the PS cup early.
Seems like a wasted opportunity to me.
Shurgs shoulders, got nothing but then again I am a normal person with common sense, not a person getting paid massive bucks running our national game making stupid decisions like this.
