OK IM HAVING A DEBATE OVER WHETHER CAM MOONEY IS A POWER FOWARD OR NOT. I'M SAYING YES, GreaT SourcE IS SAYING NO. BUT ANYWAY, THOUGHT I'D THROW OUT THE QUESTION TO FIND OUT.

Ok Im having a debate over whether Cam Mooney is a power foward or not. I'm saying yes, GreaT SourcE is saying No. But anyway, thought I'd throw out the question to find out. VOTE (MULTIPLE TIMES IF YOU THINK) ON WHO ISNT A POWER FOWARD>!

Here's what I'd consider criteria of a Power Forward
- Big powerful stature - obvious example is J Brown

- Requires 2 defenders as a rule, and will beat most defenders 1 on 1. Coaches tend to make a point of isolating these forwards.

- Takes a lot of contested marks

- Kicks alot of goals.

I would not count players like Ashley Hanson that are pretty much leading forwards. I wouldn't count a player like Lance Franklin who, although is the team's number 1 target rarely splits open a pack and strikes fear into defenders. He simply kicks a lot of goals in a lot of different ways. Riewoldt is an interesting one because he is a brilliant contested mark, but spends a lot of time up the flansk and wing. I'd say that St Kilda's power forward is Kosi.

I'm not sure where Mooney fits in with all of that.

Cam Mooney post certainly is. Of that list I would say Welsh, Johnson, Tarrant, Hanson, Westhoff and O'Loughlin are not. Lloyd is debatable.

By these Rules, Mooney would be a high ranking Ambassador for Power Forwards.

I am very surprised to see that so many people do not think that Brad Johnson is a power forward. Of course he is. And to the original question. No-Mooney is not a power forward.
