Just to buck the trend a little I don't think Port will lose to them at all. In fact, I can't see any current team irrespective of this years form losing to GWS.

There was more to like about the Suns when they came into the league. I'm sure the GWS will be a powerhouse soon but next year is going to be quite painful I'd say

They might pinch a win later in the year if a team rests their 8 best players like Hawthorn or Freo the year before.

Otherwise they won't get within 5 goals of anyone.

We will be able to beat Suns, Port, Lions, Crows on merit. Suns did very well in quite a few games. Most people's perception on the recruits are wrong. We will have around about the same number of mature bodied players or AFL expirenced guys as GC did in 2011.

Unfortunately I think the VFL was a much stronger competition than the NEAFL. The extra years experience for the Suns in a stronger competition was very valuable to us.

I also look at the results from both teams TAC seasons. GWS finished second last with 2 wins and Gold Coast finished 5th with 10 wins and a draw

Our young kids are evidently better and stronger than what GWS have and our top end talent has more to like.

Port won't make the mistake of being the first team beaten again.

Giants will beat the suns, as they will want to show they are the better expansion club.

I hope GWS snag a win as long as it isn't against us (although I think they will fancy their chances against us more than any other for obvious reasons). Their depth of experienced class is a worry for 2012 - Ward, Scully, Davis, Reid, Brogan, Cornes, Power and McDonald are not as good as Ablett, Rischitelli, Brennan, Bock, Harbrow, Brown and Fraser. If Ward or Scully suffer a long-term injury early on they could struggle to get a win. They will be fine after they recruit Pendlebury etc. in 2013.

They will win against the side that doesn't take them seriously and just thinks showing up will get them the 4 points e.g. Port, Richmond and Lions in QClash1 against us.
