Theres nothing wrong with the bloke wanting to predict we finish in the top 4. If he deems it fit to have us that high up, good on him for having a go. For anyone to suggest their prediction is closer to the pending result would be more amusing actually.

Yes I was thinking and what i was thinking is that. The bulldogs will finish top with at least 4 stars coming back from injury and a brownlow medallist in Akermanis. Freo will improve but are better than eagles so they will get 2 n 3. Essendon are great with Lloyd, Michael, the draftees, and heaps improving and will be the team outside the 8 to make the 4 and possibly do babybombers V2 though it will be them or the doggies to take the flag. Port Adelaide are a good side and will improve and get 5th. Sydney will do alright but the above teams are better. Adelaide have 1 good ruckman and will be hard. And saints always get injuries and will hang on to the 8.

Remember a team from the outside the 8 has made the TOP FOUR the following year every season of the final 8 (from 1994 onwards)

Fremantle was the team that did it in 2006 after missing the finals in 2005.

Someone will make the top 4 in 2007 who missed the finals in 2006. Maybe it will be us? Everyone seems to think Geelong will be the team to crack it into the top-4 (of the teams that missed the 8) but I think they will slide.

Port seem the most likely to me. I think we're a chance if everything goes right.

Best: 13 wins 9 losses 6th

Likely: 8 wins 14 losses 12th

It's getting harder and harder to predict a ladder every year. Sides are so even and it really comes down to injuries and a bit of luck.

Of course some sides have better lists but it is increasingly becoming more even list and talent wise making it very hard to predict well.
