That may be the case but we'll never know because the umpires literally stripped all momentum away from us then literally gifted them goals (Shuey high, LeCras non-HTB) and denied us goals (Jacobs trip) with the game in the balance.

West Coast may have been the better side, but this game did not determine it.

Umpires have been shit but have been every game this finals series. We lost because the Eagles were clearly better, Not eagles fault that umpires are just soft $&@&. The game just isn't as good as it used to be. Suck it up everyone and move on to next year.

If your club does not make a formal complaint about the unbelievable horrific umpiring which has changed this game around , then I will be amazed , they were on toast for you the Eagles, with free kicks going insane they have caught up and with umpiring help break the backs of your players, I have never seen anything like this.

It needs investigating this is when the gamblers come to town , I am telling you the rig looks in, to me!

In 94 we were reemed by umpires and it burnt in our guts.

I don't buy into the conspiracy theories.

But the AFL umpiring department has to invest in finding ways to help to block out parochial home town crowds. They really do struggle with it. Some training and development on this needs to happen.

Eagles were gifted 2 goals from bad frees, but also had a clear holding free missed that should have been a goal. So owed one at their end, and owed one our end for the missed trip.

Timing of those frees were especially poor though.
