Certainly were.Sharks impressive. Young lads will continue to improve and take the club forward
FWIW thanks for giving some actual insight instead of the BS on other threadsCertainly were.
There was some good spice in the game especially after the “hit”, but the umpires respected some flag flying and no melees were recorded.
The young lad who received the “hit” showed some major “balls” by coming back on and playing out the game.
Game was effectively over in the 1st quarter.
Billy’s goal in the 2nd quarter had to be seen to be believed.
The player Collegians said was heavy will probably get the 3 votes.
The ground and conditions were close to perfect.

I couldn’t be more precise. There was a big hit. I won’t comment on its legitimacy until the review is done.FWIW thanks for giving some actual insight instead of the BS on other threads
I may or may not agree with you. I was pretty close, and it was a very big hit. Did he have options, did he hit him high, that will be determined by the video review.23 mins into the 3rd quarter, nothing in it, brutal hit however looks like nothing but a fair play at the ball, which he was within right to make a play at.
Would be surprised if got rubbed out, really isn’t anything else he could do once he committed.
He cannot get rubbed out for that. Was a massive hit, he contested the ball and the camera does not pick up whether he took eyes off the ball or not.I may or may not agree with you. Was almost a bowling green!Certainly were.

They seemed well drilled tactically.Sharks impressive. Young lads will continue to improve and take the club forward
Brave by the OI boy to stand under that ball but to me it looked like the Beaumaris player was attacking the footy and trying to take a chest mark. He collided with the OI player who was moving backwards trying to mark overhead. Have no love for Beaumaris but to me it looked accidental. Others will have a different view.I may or may not agree with you. I was pretty close, and it was a very big hit. Came back on. Kid is 18. Super tough.Brave by the OI boy to stand under that ball but to me it looked like the Beaumaris player was attacking the footy and trying to take a chest mark. I didn't see a card come out but the umpire was gesticulating for the player to leave the ground. Understand if that was the case but it happened right in front of the coach’s box, who naturally out of concern for the lad reacted vocally. I do wonder if the send-off was partly in response to the urgings of the OI officials and spectators or to take some 'heat' out of the situation?
Is it true Max that the player came back on? If so a gutsy effort by him.
The youngest is always the toughest !Came back on. Kid is 18. Super tough.
Player was sent off to get a new jumper.
It is a very line ball decision.
I believe it is a 50:50 decision.
I am not wanting hang anyone. Rather it’s a what’s your decision moment.
Good discussion has resulted. Nothing more.

If you were there live you probably got a better look then the camera will get.
On camera looks like a football incident, 2 players going hard for the footy which we love to see.
Beaumaris vs Ajax - Jackas are good away and the nice surface at Sandy will suit them.
Collegians vs Old Camberwell - Lions....Lions....Lions....give them the cup now.
Williamstown vs De La Salle - It is normally a fortress, but I don't know any more. Think I'll stick with Willy still.
Old Melburnians vs Old Carey - Neither has been consistent. But I think the Panthers best is better than OM's.
Old Ivanhoe vs Old Geelong - At home, travelling better, loser will be on the bottom by themselves.
Nothing is going to be my weekend. I’m going to be a Grandpa again, and he will be making his OI debut in 2044Jackas
Coll
De la-willy not going well at all
Om
Oggs- to ruin Max's weekend!

Congrats mateNothing is going to be my weekend. I’m going to be a Grandpa again, and he will be making his OI debut in 2044![]()
