comparing it to an EA game suggests it's not what you're looking for. It's a MANAGEMENT game.

Think FM, OOTP, Eastside type games.

Actually, OOTP is a pretty good comparison IMO. It's been an award-winning, highly-rated game for a good decade now, yet has really only had a very small (3 now IIRC, only 1 for years) team of developers. It's up to it's 10th or so version.

PC might not be up to that level yet, but IMO it's far, far beyond what OOTP1, 2 and 3 were.

yeh i guess you right. But football manager and even International cricket captain produce a demo just about every year. thats why i find it surprising that Premiership Coach didn't go down the same path

Pretty awesome game. Only played for an hour or so. Started a game tot get the feel of it (playing as Richmond) and lost by 70 points on easy in the preseason. Tried it on my PC (runs a lot smoother) and restarted a game and beat Swans by 10 goals. So gonna play that file now. Ha.

One thing I'd like to see added would be that the game didn't stop whenever you press interchange or match/player stats. Would be a bit better to see who's getting the ball as it's near impossible to bother following the commentary. Or maybe even an option to pause the game and interchange/check stats rather than it being automatic and stopping it so that you can continue playing whilst browsing.

Another transcript of match commentary at the end of the game could be good.

Aside from that, I'm loving it so far.

Is it just me or is the text quite small in some parts?

Ive been playing now for a week or so and finally starting to get the feel of things.

I am totally enjoying the draft and trade which I do manually as well as hiring and firing staff to get the best people.

I get my assistant to manage the game which is cool for me. I then don't have to sit there for ten minutes while it plays and I actually find the anticipation of the final score coming up really cool.

I am playing as Richmond and have poached some good players, (heres looking at you Cloke) but I am still hovering around 12th and 13th over three seasons.

Never thought this would have lasting appeal for me, but I am really addicted to the growing of the team and trying to make finals, as well as keep my job as manager!

Great stuff, highly recommend.

You're not having any issues with the draft after each season? In my game and the game of a few other people, at the end of the first year almost half of every club gets traded, making most of the teams in 2012 unrecognizable.

But if you're not having this problem then great! That just means I could probably start a new season and it would be okay. I am also loving the coach staff options.

Hadn't ever heard of the 2010 version but really wish I had. Haven't played an AFL management game since Sheedy's AFL Coach 2000 came out when I was 11. ha. Been craving for one. So what did I do? Looked at the screenshots....that was enough for me. Paid my $50 worth of hard earned AUD. Probably gonna fail uni now because of this game :p

Downloading now...
Where did you buy the game from and where did you see screen shots???

No probs for me with the draft mate.

the licensing software runs two copies I think....so long as they share an internet connection (or something along those lines). It checks validity every time you start the program.

If you're not sure, ask Ad. Big advantage of a dealing with a small (micro) company, the person you talk to is the one that makes all the decisions.

Totally purchasing it tomorrow 2010 version was good a few bugs but $40 (what 2010 version was priced at) you cannot go wrong. This years version looks fantastic, for anyone upset about no demo I can gaurentee if last years version is anything to go by then this is worth the money.

Starting playing it today. Big improvement over the last version. The newspaper is a great addition and the core elements of the game is much improved like the training, scouting and player details. Much more slick and easy to understand.

Great game had it for a week now. Played 5 seasons with GC now coaching the cats.
My midfield is unstoppable..

D.Swallow 91 (potential 100)
J.Selwood 98 (Pot 100)
R.Griffen 94 (Pot 95)

Throw J.Corey, J.Kelly & P.Chapman in there.

Also picked up a 211 cm ruckman whos potential is 98.
