Maybe not....I didnt say they would win, I said they will go all out to win the first game.

I think if it does come to Adelaide playing West Coast in the QF then you will see the Crows play their best football for the year. They will go all out attack and attack the body extremely hard. A 'surprise' victory would not be beyond them.

If they lose, they get a home game the next week against one of Geelong/St Kilda/Richmond/Port/Kangaroos/Freo which I would back the Crows. Then an away Prelim against Melbourne which would be a bloody good game and again you'd tip the Crows to come out hard.

If the Crows make a Prelim...it wouldnt surprise me at all to see them take out the flag.

My sense of "deja vu" is starting to twitch about this season.

West Coast are the standout team so far ... but they arguably don't like playing in Melbourne that much.

That gives others sides a chance, even assuming that WCE get two home finals and make the GF easily.

It is conceiveable that the Crows could be good enough this year to "be in it" at finals time.

If the Crows are in the mix, and there is a chance to win it ... it seems to me the Crows would have as good a chance as anyone else. At least, history suggests it is possible.

If they make the 8 and they still are a good chance to do that, then who knows?

Port are still a chance to make finals, as crazy as that seemed just a week ago.

I can't say I'd rate them as a chance to actually win, given that they still have a bit of a monkey about finals, and considering the age of their list, and considering that I believe several sides have "worked Port out" and Port do not seem to have a Plan B when that happens.

To win the premiership you need to finish top 4. To finish top 4, Port would need to win 10 of their last 11. With games against Kangas ( A), Adelaide ( H) , Brisbane ( A ), Collingwoord ( A), Melbourne ( H), Geelong ( A ) and Freo ( H ) the odds are stacked heavily against them. I reckon they will easily win their next 2, maybe even 3 ( WB, Hawth and Collingwood) and then will struggle. I still think both their midfield ( without James ) and forward lines are one dimensional. Stop Tredrea and P Burgoyne and you stop Port. They also have age working against them as Francou, Wangas, Prmius, Wilsons, james etc etc old legs aren't going to get any fresher in the second half of the year.



Too be honest, i'm surprised how quickly Port and Brisbane have fallen back to the pack. Port will finish between 6-12. I don't expect Brisbane to be playing finals.

Blighty is the only coach who has actually played youngsters and look at the results too, we should do the same.

Jack - you are an idiot. Blight barely played youngsters and brought in ready made footballers when he had the chance - Robert Shaw blooded the youngsters. And Triggy is just a bloke doing a job in a small town - why wouldn't he care if he got a complimentary email? Would probably like it.
