In the Courier Mail today, QLD shyte newspaper, had surveyed the Lions and 1 question was who is your toughest opponent.

Jonathon Brown said 'Presti'.

Finally someone other then pie fans appreciate what Presti does for our team, and a damn good source to come from.

I remember last year Russell Robertson said Clement was an absolute nightmare.

Clement always beats Robertson. That's why he's an absolute nightmare, literally.

I happen to know Lloyd (even though he plays on Lucas most of the time and makes him look second rate) respects Presti, he said so himself on radio. So does Fevola.

Presti has been an unheralded player all his career

still remember a newspaper article back in 02 bout our no name backline, yet they were talking about clement, presti, wakes and a few others like j.cloke etc

presti is mr.reliable

pies have the best defensive combo going around in presti and clement

I’ve heard him say this before. He nominated Presti among candidates for AA last year on SEN. That won’t ever happen but Presti has a very good record on all the best forwards.

At some stage last year someone posted a set of stats re goals conceded per game by the FB’s. Does anyone know how the stats finished up at the end of the year? I reckon year in, year out Presti would be up near leaders.

It is great recognition, and it is always a great source to help other people without an eye for the Pies that Presti isn't a slow old fashioned defender. He has been under-rated by the public most of his career, even by Pies supporters, but getting a rap from oppositions, especially the quality of J Brown, the best forward in the game currently, is great to hear.

Well done Presti.

I have no idea as to how it finished, but you are correct. Presti had 5 kicked by the 'Unit' which made his figures appear to not give him the advantage of being no.1 at the point when the stats were released...I think he was 2nd.

Presti throughout his career would definately be up there, and it probably comes down to discipline, in the sense that he doesn't give too much on his opponent, but won't give the free.

Just as I say the above, I have looked at Presti's stats of 2006 to warrant my statement. In a year where new rules came into play, against defenders with chopping of the arm, and more strict of hands in the back, Presti managed to give away ONLY eleven free kicks!, in 19 matches.

Have a very good look at the following statistics to just see how disciplined as a backmen Presti is, 2001/2002 are fantastic.

Code:
[B][U]Simon PRESTIGIACOMO (since 1998)[/U]
Year	Games	FA	SR%[/B]
1998	10	2	20.0
1999	20	13	65.0
2000	21	11	52.4
2001	21	2	9.5
2002	24	9	37.5
2003	14	3	21.4
2004	12	7	58.3
2005	20	17	85.0
2006	19	11	57.9

[B]TOTAL	161	75	46.6[/B]

pretty sure whilst watching a replay of the anzac day game, that somebody commented on how presti hates his opponent kicking goals against him

it was in relation to a 50m penalty awarded to lucas in the last quarter that meant that lucas, presti's opponent, was gifted a goal

Presti has a pretty mixed record against Lloyd so that's interesting that Lloyd lists him as his toughest oponent. Presti has a very good record against Jonathon Brown and while we herald his record against the likes of Tredrae (Presti thrashed him in his golden years), Fevola, Neitz, Richardson, Gehrig, Hall and co. people forget his record against Brown.

I love Presti , absolute epitome of the under rated gun .
And he carries the great number on his back .
he is definitely the best full back we have had in the last 30 years, how some people had peter mc cormack i would never know

Well done Presti, It's great to hear a great player like J Brown saying Presti is his hardest oppenent.
IMO Presti is under-rated, he really never seems to get very noticed for the amount he contributes to games.

Does anyone know the last time Presti kicked a goal?

It definately wasn't last year or the year before...any ideas?

Anyone know the last time a collingwood v carlton game had any significance?

Anyone know the last time carlton was a favourite to win a game?

Anyone know if carlton will be carlton in 3 years time?
