Pumped for this game, cant wait till Sunday arvo. Definitely think Adelaide deserve to be favourites for this game and should win but I love going to a game knowing we are a chance to get up. Victory this weekend will be very very sweet and not just because its the cows. A win means we ARE back and we ARE a chance to give the 8 a shake.

If we do win it will be interesting to see what it is that we use that gets us over the line. Midfield depth, leg speed, ball movement, run from defence are all things I think we have shown that could be the difference.

Any other game I'd agree but pretty hard to stay away from the internet when I know the game is on.
I see this game as the first true indicator of where we are really at.
We've had 2 good wins but this is the first against an opposition that is more highly rated.

I'd wait till the last minute to decide the sub.

If it's wet, cold and blustery conditions, I'd probably have Neade as a late out, and bring in a few harder bodies (ala Cassisi, Thomas, Moore) and give Mitchell a full game.

If it's a dry track, then keep Neade on for a full game.

It's actually very interesting when assessing what players are best suited to wet conditions. In my experience you are best served having skilled one grab players such as Neade in your team. At AFL level all players are bodied hardened but the elusive skilled player is worth his weight in rocking horse s....t. Neade will be suited to both conditions and I'm not sure why everyone seems to be concerned by his size.....because Jakey N certainly isn't...and as for Thomas you must be joking...

Are you feeling ok? You seem to be typing in a way that makes it appear you have a fever? It may be best you rest for a few days and go back to work Monday or Tuesday when you feel better?

Didn't suggest at all JN would play all 22 games. The comment is particular to this game. Not many players full stop play 22 let alone young players. I have stated previously I think Jake could play 8-10 games this year would give him a taste...generally 1st year players don't have the body size to play 15+ games although with Ollie the exception. Having said that Chad W played 19 of 22 last year!

Some people seem to think we could do with Matt Thomas's "hardness". Firstly, Matt Thomas isn't even in the extended squad so forget about it. Secondly, trying to intimidate the crows with the excessive physicality of a couple of "hard men" is completely out dated and doesn't work. They'd laugh it off. A ferocious onslaught for 120 minutes from all 22 players who take the field is a whole other matter.

He's been floating around in various positions, hasn't really had a specific direct opponent during the two games.

Yeah, the fact that there isn't a noticeable opponent suggests that he doesn't really have one. He's a tough match up playing his current role!

He is, I was aggressive with my view in trading him last year, but 2 sample games have made me eat my words so far. If he keeps it up he's in for a huge year and curbing his influence will be difficult, teams will need a 6'5" tagger to run with him!
