I had some mates come over to watch the game over a couple of Victoria's finest (VB) yesterday. I didn't have too many before I went higher than Joe Cocker with Essendon's toughness and pressure against the Blues. It was the Baby Bombers vs the Baby Blues. We wanted that win and we wanted that ball. We are building some real momentum going into the Fremantle game. I think the turning point of our season was against Adelaide in Adelaide.

I was as proud as punch with our second efforts yesterday and the Hawthorn supporter (an Essendon loather) who joined our celebrative afternoon was quieter than a mouse fart, he would never bring himself to saying it but I really think he saw something yesterday that would give a lot of Essendon supporters some real enthusiasm about their young players... had he said what I thought he was thinking he wouldn't have been wrong! Monfries, Reimers, Myers, Lonergan, Neagle, Ryder and Jetta all showed that perhaps the quality of our youth wasn't anywhere near as bleak as what the vast majority had thought.

I saw enough to suggest Knights is definitely the right man, there was purpose yesterday, there was game plan and there was a team playing for their coach! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Agree. Is it a coincidence that this was Lucas' comeback game? Does he really add that much structured to our side. His return has certainly helped Mchpee lately. A big improver.

I think it shows that we have still got a winning culture at the club. After losing so many on the trot there has been a large amount of improvers lately. Stanton, Lloyd, Hille, Fletch and McPhee have all stood up imo.

Even the youngsters like Myers, Lonergan and Reimers have had greatly improved performances.

Lets keep it going. :thumbsu:

...Ok, Who hacked into Donners account?

What about all my good work over the past month?

I'll be forever remembered as that fickle bastard who expected too much from his young colts! Hopefully people will appreciate the fact that I haven't changed my sig and pretended to be someone I'm not... there's a moral story in there somewhere! :D

No coincidence at all mate. We are so much better with him in the team and our forward line looks much more potent when he is playing. He isn't dominating yet and is struggling a bit with his kicking but his inclusion has helped free up Lloyd and McPhee and they have both benefoted from it. I also reckon that a big one is just around the corner for Lucas and i reckon it could be this week against Fremantle.

Oh...and i concur with the OP. I was also very proud of the boy's on the weekend especially considering i was at the game with 4 Blues supporters. :thumbsu:
