Gee I cringe at these threads... I really do.

I was 'proud' for about 10 mins in the quarter, then it was just all rubbish.

We need to be creating a ruthless winning mentality, not a 'oh look, player X took a regulation mark, brilliant stuff'.

Exactly! I was watching the Crows midfielders hit in hard and throw themselves desperately at the ball in the middle of the fourth quarter, and all I could think was "why haven't you done this for the last two months?!"

I don't know what the hell is wrong with our mindset at the moment, but that's the problem - mindset. The Crows have no urgency about them in the middle, and it's selling the defensive unit (which I think is actually doing a reasonable job, given the circumstances) right up the river.

I'm not proud of the Crows for trying hard in the last quarter - I'm furious at them for dishing out such a pea-hearted effort for the first three quarters, and three of the four games before that! (Even against Brisbane we just didn't really seem to try). You might have all the talent in the world, or none, but you can always damn well try. Our lack of efforts, particularly in the centre square this year, has been absolutely deplorable.

Even just thinking about the miserable lack of effort we've shown between the two 50m arcs so far this year is pissing me off.

There's a fair bit of anger/angst/dissappointment in this thread. alot seems to be directed towards the effort put in by the players.

To those who think we didnt try, who are the ones you're accusing?

off the top of my head now i could name 2 Rory's, Danger, Otten, Thommo, Jeansch, Douglas, Talia and Truck as guys that were clearly trying and played well. Then i'd have Kerridge, Reilly, Jenkins, Henderson as guys who we're trying but played not so well.

I think some are confusing not playing well with not trying.
(unless you think we're not playing well because we've not put in enough at training. but who'd know)

Jaensch only tried for one quarter - not sure he belongs with the other players in that list. Vince only tried in even numbered quarters.

Agree with your call about the players trying but not doing so well.
