PSD- Big player?

Nobody really stands out, and given that we are a fair way down the pecking order for the PSD, I doubt that we'd land anybody of real quality.

Of the players that are available, i'd be having a very close look at Russell Robertson. He'd be ultra keen, give you 110%, and has already expressed a desire to go around next year.

Even if we only got him for 12 months, it would help out our other young forward, and take the pressure off them a little whilst they continue to develop.

Cant really see a downside in taking Robbo on a 12 mth deal as he wont get paid much and can quite easily bob up with 2 goals a game. Would be a handy player close to goal and has a good season left in him.

All the talk on here during the trade was that he had just signed a 2yr deal (according to brisbane supporters), maybe ask on the bris board

Maybe with any great lack of talent available in the existing delisted/uncontracted AFL players they will do a "Betts" and look outside of AFL ranks for our selection.

Could he be Picked up by Carlton as that extra developing backman who will provide depth for the Carlton list, if Austin plays back/forward in 2010?

I've been in favour of this for quite a while now but recent events have me thinking that it won't happen.

We just got rid of Fevola because his head isn't all there. He's a moron and just doesn't think.

Cleve has a lot of talent but like Fev, his head isn't in the right place. Granted, it's reportedly for different reasons (Cleve isn't a headcase but apparently suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after being present when Polak was hit by a tram), but I just wonder how willing the club will be to recruit a player who is troubled after just taking such a strong stance against arguably our most important player.

I'd still be supportive of the idea of recruiting Cleve but as I said, I have a feeling the club would be inclined to steer well clear.
