We are done!!!

I'm one of the most optimistic people around, but after todays performance, we are goooooooooooonnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeee

The first quarter was promising, we were so dominant, i thought "we are back"
But our inaccuracy hurt us, and we couldnt bury them.

Lo and behold, we got smashed for the last 3 qtrs..... Hentschel, then Bassett, both off on stretchers. Hart didn't play in the second half. even when on the ground he looked out of sorts. Roo out before the game.

Lets face it guys and gals, it will take and miracle for us to take the flag home in 06...:thumbsd:

I agree. We won't win the flag this year. Having said that, I'll still be supporting the guys hard during the finals as I'm sure we all will.

Yep, gone for all money.

Listening to the radio ... how many times did the commentators say "Shocking kick!" when the Crow boys got the ball?

Skills and confidence shot to pieces. :thumbsd:

Don't give up. We've lost the last 3(all narrowly) and sure we're not playing well but we'll turn it around.

I tipped Port, just need Collingwood and West Coast to win now to give me 7 with only the draw letting me down so far.

We'll win the flag.

don't get me wrong, i will still cheer loudly and hope we can win it, but i just cant see it happening.....:thumbsd:

Hey, maybe we can belt Melbourne next week, get some confidence up and win our 1st final. A week off then comes and a home prelim, then anything can happen.

Totally agree, i too am very optimistic but i dont think we can win another game this year. I believe this year was our last chance for some while so its all downhill from here im afraid. of course ill still be cheering us on.

No I must admit we are gone.
Dont know whats happened but someone has stolen the crows mojo and wont give it back!!!!!!!!!

And the game hasnt been finished 2mins b4 I got my first text from a port supporter.
:)

i was just wanting to know how u guys/gals think u will go against melbourne next week? remembering melbournes horrible history at AMMI.

also what players wont be playing next week? ive herd there have been a few injuries but not sure who to?

I can't believe how quickly you guys are jumping off.

You had a top 2 spot sewn up a while back. From that point the next game that mattered was always going to be the first final.

If you win in week 1, what significance will losing today's Showdown have?

I remember last year, when WC lost 4 of their last 6 games going into the finals. We got belted by Geelong and the Bulldogs and we looked like we were shot.

But guess what? As soon as we won that first final, those H&A losses counted for SFA.

You're going to be playing at AAMI in week 1.

No H&A results will effect the result of that match.

i agree with this, we have known that the top 2 spot is sewn up for a few weeks now, i wonder if this may be playing in the back of some heads...

mind you in saying that, winning form is good form..

but FFS adelaide, time to get your act together!

Problem is, our gameplan has been worked out and Craig seems clueless in response.

Then add in the serious injuries...

if we do lose to Melbourne next week (assuming West Coast win today), its a huge blessing in disguise, seeing as they'll have to come back to footy park to play in the first final.

Get the best possible team, study the crap out of Melbourne and the round 22 game and see if we can steal it thru to the prelims.

Obviously not as bad, but West Coast had a pretty bad last month before the finals last year and they recovered.

Yes, but on our form for the last 5(?) weeks we havent been playing well and you cant live in the past.

Of course we hope that we win our first final and all is forgotten. My hopes are that this is just a confidence thing. :o

The big difference is you weren't heading into finals with serious injury to key players and other key players seriously underdone.

Oh really?

Matera, Embley and Hansen were all buggered this time last year.

Lynch had been fighting OP.

Bear in mind that the Crows have lost 3 pretty tight games to Freo, Port and the Bulldogs.

WC were getting absolute beltings in the run home.

Jeez guys we're not gone.

Have some faith. Everyone knows our footy the past month has been very very ordinary but anything can happen in footy.

We're still a chance at the flag.

The two most important players in our team, Burton and Hentschel gone for the season (unless we make the GF for Burton), derails the train, although there are a few suvivors in the wreckage. Maybe they're strong enough to redirect the train to pastures greener, and I hope they do, but honestly methinks its time to count the dead and do our best to hold the heads high, until funeral day. With any luck we might live to see it, and actually take home some flowers.

Mate we're gone. Our forward line which has been a strength this season is now completely ineffective. And now that Hentschel is gone for the season there goes just about our most threatening tall forward.

Our defence which at one stage was the best I’ve eve seen is now very ordinary. Rutten looks slow and couldn’t even beat Willits in a few contests, Hart should retire, and Bock looks slow. Bassett is the only one doing his job week in, week out and he could be out for a month.

Our midfield is one of the worst in the competition. Edwards is a champion and rarely puts in a bad game, and Goodwin is consistent too, but other than that it’s garbage. We couldn’t win a clearance today, the same story as the entire season.

We're done.

You ALL know the saying - it ain't over til the fat lady sings... and she isn't even warming up yet people !! Sure they're performance has been well below par the last 5 weeks but i sure as hell hope the players have a better attitude than some of the supporters, otherwise we may as well all start planning holidays for our september weekends now!!!!

So because Trent's gone it's all over? I agree we can't cover Hentch but if Welsh steps up, Perrie hits form and Roo gets his body right, we can still have a deadly forward line.

Rutten is fine, he has beaten more opponents this year. Johncock and Bassett are always consistent and doing a fine job in defence. Hart will retire at the end of the year and Bock just needs to work on his disposal and he will get back firing (Thompson I also must add needs work on his disposal as well)

If we can get Macca back in the midfield and make it a Simon, Tyson, Macca trio then that could do some serious damage come finals time. Not to mention Roo could have a run in the centre at some stage. Shirley and Mattner are both fine players and have room for improvement.

Don't write us off until we actually get beaten in the finals.
