alright I have downloaded the application successfuly and now am in the folder. I have both OLDDOS and QBASIC but am not sure what to do next. I don't have Q.BAT (which i think you're supposed to have) just in case. Where do I go to next?

Alright update, Ive found it and got the game up but now I have problems creating teams, ive made a league but when i go to the start playing it takes me to QBASIC and says SYNTAX error.

What do I do?

Got the teams now having problems with players.

Don't know how to do them and the computer says that they're all the same when I press enter, next step?

It doesn't sound like you're using the current version.

Back at the main menu, what version does it state?

(just x-close Qooty and restart it to get to this if you're hung)

Can't seem to find the commentary, as there is no 'AUSPOW11' file.

I would of done something wrong, quick run-through please?

You'd need to look for the AUSPOW11.00c file in C://(whatever directory you put your qooty folder in)/qooty/(league initials)/GAMES/

Alternately, open up qooty and go to VIEW RESULTS>>Games>>(the league you want)>>(select the game you want)>>press "C">>press "F" and then look for a file in C://(whatever directory you put your qooty folder in)/qooty that's called "forumcom.txt" or something similar.

So I downloaded the file and I get this error message when I open it up...

Program Files Missing (UTILS Folder).
Please report the comments of errorlog.dat to Qooty support.
Qooty cannot run without these in place. Press a key ...

Version number pls beez. It's on the start screen (if that comes up). if not, look in Qooty/Data/Version.dat

It should be 10.4, downloaded from the dropbox link (see threads within this subforum), not the Qooty from the obsolete website, which I have no means to update anymore.

I downloaded it from the link Logger posted earlier but apparently it's version 10.3?

A link to 10.4 would be grand.

Sorry, it should be 10.3, not 10.4. 10.4 is not released.

10.4 hasn't been released publicly Mobbs, at least not on this board.

The link I posted was just cribbed from here which as far as I can tell is the most up-to-date thread on this subforum.

Well I tried again and got the same error message.

I'm not a complete noob, I d/led it, extracted all the files and then opened menu.exe but no luck...

Maybe it's just me.

Try running it from the Qooty.bat file (that's the standard, unsure if relevant).

If still same error, please follow the instructions, namely, post here what is in ERRORLOG.DAT

Hmmm, ok step 2 :

Look (with Windows Explore, your basic folder navigation) in the Qooty folder and tell me if there is a UTILS subfolder in there.

I have a 'comments', 'data' and 'updater' folder, along with a few .exe files and 16 .dll files

The UTILS is not a folder, it's a UTILS.exe file.

Obviously with Logger and Easty's comments, it's something at my end.

can someone tell me where the commentary file is kept or what it would be called, I have just simmed a test match but cannot find the commentary file, found stats though.

Have you tried the Opening Post?

if its not there, maybe Setup isn't set to save commentary. I think that's an option.

Pretend to run a match until you see the setup summary and see if commentary is green.
