Curoisly there is a message before the menu comes up but too quick to read. Does that always happen?

Qbat blue screen with it's grey box saying path not found. Options are ok and help. In the background it has the script. In white writing it is highlited ''60 open ''I'', #1 path$ + ''\data\league.dat''

1. Quick msg too quick to read? That's ok, that's Qooty running a bunch of checks to make sure everything is there and operational. Very successfully too eh? :rolleyes: :D

Now, 60 OPEN "I" Path etc etc ... yeah, ok so what was the last thing you did before that?

Did you choose Create League? Did you choose Create Team? Did you choose Play Footy (Execute)?

Shallow is never angry, just Shallow. ;)

I hit enter after naming a league and shortned name for the league. Just to see if its working I named it Australian rules football and shortned to afl.

ok, next step

just browsin around your computer, look in path/path/path/qooty/data

tell me if there is a file called LEAGUES.DAT in there

if there isn't, hmmm
if there is, hmmm

but let me know

(go to bottom menu item, then left or right cursor until you see Sim Speed)

Shallow can you open LEAGUES.DAT (yep, the dat file called LEAGUES) using Notepad, and copy paste the contents into a post here?

Spot on.

Also what is the 'cursor'? Because when it says Current Round Number written under the team matchups it says 'Change Using left or right cursor' and I cant get it to change.

it means the arrow keys ... umm left and right ...

but if you haven't Set The Configuration of your league, it won't let you change the round number. You are on practice matches until you've set the config.
