In an article in today's Age on the Howard cover-up controversy, Louise Dodson wrote:

He has also shown touches of humour, such as comparing Howard's defence that he was not given information from his department with a veteran television favourite - the F Troop character Sergeant Schulz, known for his "I know nothing" defence.

Err, I hardly ever watched the show but even I know that character (correct spelling Schultz) and his catchphrase came from 'Hogan's Heroes'.
