I have only seen pictures of the kid and read the profiles on him given by fellow BF posters.

Now the impression i get from the info and pics is that he is a taller version of nathan "axel" foley???

Now that would work in our favour as i have heard that he is a class act as an outside midfielder and doesn't mind gettin dirty under the pack either....
I think every club could do with a nathan foley on thier lists and with connors (and with all due respect to axel as he will be an elite midfielder one day) i feel that we have the type of player that works well with players of nathan ilk, but is a touch better.

Could we have a future midfield duo in the mould of Ben Cousins and Daniel Kerr while having a Chris Judd type in Lids takeing all the attention and leaving the other two to run riot with an Embley type in Meyer or perhaps Casserly, Raines or Polo?

Possibilites are enormous and Future looks EXTREMLY GOOD from where i sit!!!

Sorry i should have put the question at the end! i apologise.

The Question was, Is he a player is the Axel Foley mould but with abit more strings to his bow so to speak???

Apologise again, i will try to be clearer next time.

Connors is taller. Also Foley is an extractor who prefers to handball first. Very much a hands and knees bulldog type.

I'd say Connors is closer to Polo. Not quite as tall. But a better kick. Connors will be more a centreman than a rover I think. A quicker Pettifer who can win the hard-ball if anything.

I reckon Foley's a good kick and kicks a fair bit? BTW, Weave I'm not trying to diss you by disagreeing like it seems has happened lately from others ;)

I think Foley has been told to kick more and has worked on that part of his game. Great to see a guy working on a weakness. Foley definately wants to make the grade and will do the work.

I was more comparing Foley as a recruited prospect to Connors.

Amen re Foley and his kicking definitely improved later in the season. Just needs to be a less one sided now.

He sounds every bit like Foley :) Already i am looking forward to seeing them both work together.

re: the last bit of footage in that clip. isn't this the kid who had question marks over his pace? did you see the burst there, he took off like a rocket!

He tested badly with the sprint testing, but I wouldn't read too much into it, the boy isn't the quickest but he ain't slow, and he has that football brain that will always put him in great positions first.

This kid will be a gun, make no mistake.

the way he is able to go through a pack and come out with the ball at full pace and hit a sweeping handball with vision reminds me of a great contemporary league player, i wont say who bc i'll look like a pinhead living in fantasia:D but if he becomes half as good, we'll have a great player in the yellow and black.
