I just hit "save as" and go to png. Then you've got the photoshop file and the png.

Okay, that's what I do. But when I want to edit a layer, there's only one layer, the whole thing.

You're clickcing on the png. You've gotta click on the psd.

Right... If I save it twice, one .psd (default) & .png, One saved file would have the layers, the other would be able to post. Thanks

What you are trying to do is the equivalent of broadcasting a TV show via a mailed letter.
You can't upload a layered image. Web browsers can only render GIF, JPG, PNG, SVG, BMP and XBM. So if you have your Photoshop pic, you have to export a PNG every time you make a change, if you want to upload your "progress".
