I really like what Minchington gave to us today. Just needs more opportunity at the moment. He's quick, strong and quite dynamic. LOVE THE GUY, does need to improve his kicking though. I think he will be able to, he seems like a natural footballer.

Also, what a game from Riewoldt. So inspirational. Cops a knock to his left leg, limps off the ground, moments later, comes back on, takes a couple of grabs, still crashing the packs. He's just amazing. One of the greatest leaders of all time in sports. What a great model all of our kids are looking up to.

Like the way he goes about it. He's kicking is a strength I would've thought. He was absolutely knackered when he was having a shot at goal

When Joey kicked the goal, my wife thought intruders had broken in and were assaulting me.

I haven't gone that crazy watching a game on TV since Timmy Cahill scored the equaliser against Japan in Kaiserslautern.

It was almost like a soccer game in that last quarter with no goals until the last minute.

I thought we'd blown it when Howe kicked that late goal, didn't think we could score a goal when we had struggled to score one for about a quarter then enter Jack Steven bursting out of the centre like a man possessed to thrust it forward and I had a bit of hope again, then all of a sudden Joey swooped in to an open goal and bang all over and anger suddenly turned to joy and relief.

Amazing finish, reminded me a bit of the 2009 prelim in terms of the rollercoaster of emotions.

Who would've thought a Melbourne v St Kilda game could be the game of the year.

Awesome win.
Congrats to the boys and club.
Good to see Minchy get a go.
Hope he keeps getting a few games now.

Wow. Didn't realize we were on that bad of a run!

From twitter:

First time since 2010 QF v cats @stkildafc has won by less than a goal.

Saints had lost 9 games since then by 1-6 pts.

Very lucky to get away with that.

Needed to finish them off in the last, Steven last quarter effort was huge.

I literally love Riewoldt

Hogan gave Del a bath.

Acres very good when he came on.

Armitage well beaten today.

Really like Webster, Lonie, Ross

We were -100 in possessions tonight, so no massive possession winners. Our tackle pressure is unreal.

Don't forget the shepherd he laid on the flank right after the injury. Old school stuff that you can't teach. Bloody legend tonight!

Beaten in the contest again today and with Melbourne playing keepings off we were a bit gassed in the third quarter which meant they were able to work through our defence.

I thought Minch drifted out of it. Dunstan also very quiet.,

Anyone who thinks Ross isn't in Saints best 22, has rocks in their head.

Dempster was great. Took some really good intercept marks all night.,

Gilbert good for the run

He's going to be a gun no doubt. Can't see all the Ross haters on the forum tonight.
