The upper level is closed and it is still barren. No team other than the Pies can consistently create an atmosphere.Happens every time these clubs drop in output.
And in a few years if they're back up there, they'll all be salivating at what amazing supporters they have etc etc
Been disappointed with him, other than the Sydney game hasn’t done much over the last handful of games. Hasn’t been clean at ground level - double grabs, also consistently goes back into traffic & gets caught a lot with the ball, also loses his footing and doesn’t take first option. In what sense?
He's having a season that looks pretty much aligned with what he's always produced.
CurtinApart from the goal it was a nil all drawROB pushed forward some of the time when Thilthorpe was rucking.
Which side has the clear better 2nd ruckman...
I reckon you know the answer Bicks.
Ground emptied by like 70 per cent at the end…total fair weather supportersRichmond fans have always been fair weather fans.
A player with a good footy brain will rack up touches and have impact when required. You’re being too kind.I can handle Laird and Smithers in the side. Both former AA calibre and still offer something.
But Murphy has never been good. Only in the side due to how bad we were in Nicks early years.
Served a role then as he does have a great Footy brain. Just.very limited physical skilset
He should not be on our list now, if anything SANFL captain. But certainly not playing AFL games.
Added 0.0 value as sub today
Richmond are awful in that sense..only worse ones are Hawks..disappeared for years despite like 8 premierships in 40 yearsWhere's that 80,000 yellow and black chanting crowd who we get told are so loyal and the best crowd around?
Victorian clubs are full of bandwagonners.
The Gowan brothers, very good Footy brains. Not physically good enough skill and athletic wise to play AFL.A player with a good footy brain will rack up touches and have impact when required. You’re being too kind.

James Rowe, similar.
Mitch Grigg, another example.
This is the calibre Murphy is. If he played for another SANFL club, he would win Magarey Medals.
He's in the same mould as Will Snelling. Similar height, build and positions. Snelling is a gun state league player, but lacked the weapons for the top level. Murphy is the same. The Gowan brothers, very good Footy brains. Not physically good enough skill and athletic wise to play AFL.

In the way, or knows his positioning but does not have the skillset to execute?Murphy gets in the way far too much to have a good footy brain.
And still more impactful than Tom LynchSuper Sub Murphy two kicks.
A poor option tonRoB up forward.
Kicked straight into the point post.

Yeah, nah. You are way off on this one.In the way, or knows his positioning but does not have the skillset to execute?
Look at his disposals today. All good positioning and then it goes to shit with ball in hand.
How easy is it for opposition to run off him? Can position well to be involved, but lack speed and strength to win the contest.
We see him a lot on our screen/around play because of this. He knows where to be and reads the play well.
But just not good enough physically and skills wise at this level.
You really haven’t seen curtins name mentioned at all?Holy shit, I came here after an absolutely dominant win, and it's all bitterness and complaints.
Richmond has been out bogey team,.and we smashed them.
I get it - Murphy is annoying. But is it really so upsetting that you can't enjoy seeing us position ourselves for a possible top four finish?
This is the difficult thing to see as fans, we don’t know what their KPI’s are but these two appear to have different ones to other players. I thought Smith played an ok game, probably enough to hold his spot, especially if they start moving Max around a bit, but Murphy did nothing, and I do feel bad for the guy. We have rinsed his selection to the point the club needed to make a statement about it, you can see the players getting around him as well, it must be hard. The glaring issues are Smith and Murphy, we appear fixtated with them again.
At least Mitch Marsh has the potential to impact. Could bowl hard overs if required and can score and score quickly if he’s seeing them well. Murphy has never done anything except run under the footy and sprint at opposition players just as they dispose of the footy. This is the difficult thing to see as fans, we don’t know what their KPI’s are but these two appear to have different ones to other players. I remember when Mitch Marsh kept getting selected in the Aus test team “it’s not my fault I keep getting picked”.
Unfortunately Nicks is too stubborn to know it’s the wrong call, hopefully Taylor’s blinder in the SANFL gets him over the line, but it could be beggars belief to see it change, hopefully Balmes back in the selection committee room next week.
