I got 2 the other day. (Male and Female) Does anyone here know of any good sites to get info on them to help me look after them and so on? Or anyone here an expert on Rabbits?

Also, what are some good names for them?

Do you have any Rabbits?

I used to ahve an albino rabbit called Mr Squiggle (I was 5)

the rabbit is also the name of an incredibly popular female self-pleasure device, hawkeye might be able to offer more insight on that topic though.

hmmmm rabbits ...delicious with an onion gravy .

Rabbits like fresh grass and will kill for a dandelion weed they also enjoy most left over vegetable peelings (except potato)
you can buy dry rabbit food from most pet stores , drip bottles are great for their watering needs.

My kids have a big fat Albino rabbit named Mixy (and no it's not short for Myxomatosis) :D

I used to have a dwarf rabbit once and one day it went missing and we were looking everywhere for it. So we decided to give up for a bit and have a kick of the footy and as we were kicking the footy we were running over our trampoline that had been turned upside down because of the wind. So we just happily kept running over the trampoline until I discovered this fat lump so we turned it over and there was Buddy as flat as a pancake. Mum was pretty upset, me my older brother and dad kept kicking the footy and my younger brother asked "can we get a dog now" :D
So dad got the shovel and we buried Buddy in our backyard. And yes, we now have 2 dogs!

If Buddy was as flat as a pancake then why could you feel a lump? ;)

I had my daughter's rabbits out the back here for awhile, Stimpy & Flopsy.
Kept me lawns nice and short, but dug holes all over the place.
Stuck thier cages on the concrete for a bit, nothing worse after it's been teaming with rain and all the poo and wee gets all glugged up together in a big mush :o
Took me ages to clean the bastards. And the smell is pretty ripe.
The drip bottles are really good for thier drinking habits too as Blues_Man said.
They like a good bit of shade too.

Be prepared for holes everywhere! My rabbit used to dig up plants because he liked eating the roots. He also dug under the fence a few times and ended up in the neighbours yard. We had to put bricks under the fence so he couldn't dig through.

You need to keep them clean too, or else they get dags. And definately get him immunised again myxomatosis, even if you bought him from someone else like I did. I'd never heard of the disease, until he got it :( :(

Rabbits are awesome though. Mine learnt from the dog, he used to follow him in through the doggie door and run around the house. Very hard to catch sometimes, if that happens, watch out for the little poo everywhere. Good luck.

you must have chicken wire all around the bottom of the hutch Spunky ...then it is self cleaning :thumbsu: :)

I wasn't aware there was a vaccine against myxomatosis. I know there's one for the calici virus, which my rabbits get every year, but I'm sure there's not one for myxomatosis.

My uncle went bald early and had tiny rabbits tatooed all over his head. I asked my mum why does he like rabbits so much. She said he dosent, he thinks from a distance they will look like hares.
