See, I loved Borderlands, found it really immersive and addictive.

This, I enjoy it, but don't feel compelled to keep playing it.

Borderlands co-op was amazing; I think I need to give this a go with a mate?

Co-op makes most games way more satisfying. Also playing with someone else generally makes you want to play it more than when you play on your own. Except never fall into the trap of waiting 6 months to finish a game because you are waiting for the same guy to continue playing with you when you're both free again...

Winner of the most disappointing ending since Halo 2: Rage.

Great visuals, solid combat and weapons, ok drive mechanics, generic storyline, terrible terrible ending. 7.5/10

Did the resistance actually do anything? Seemed like all they did was send some bloke to kill everything and then take the credit. Well done guys.

The giant vagina?
Yes.:(
Coincidentally I finally got round to this game again after stopping halfway. Up to the 2nd last mission so I guess we'll see how long Rage holds the title.. :p
I rated Borderlands as the worst ending to a game I've ever played.

Just so underwhelming. I know that the game isn't heavy on story in any way shape or form, but it doesn't mean it has to end as poorly as it does.

I know we've talked about how bad the BL ending was, which I have yet to see but it would take some doing to beat Rage's... cut-off point. I can't even call it an ending, even the cut-scene gives the impression of it being cut off like a technical error and that's it... the credits start rolling.

The story, and the way its told was so poor in the first place that I could barely manage to give a shit though.

Yeah it was pretty terrible. I understand they might want to set up for another game.. but you can't just do it like that.

The story-telling was extremely average though, was there actually any motivation for our character to do it? Surely there's a point where you stop just being told what to do because it really isn't your problem to deal with, let alone by yourself.

..also getting sick of the silent protagonist with not a whole lot of emotional involvement in the plot that just follows random people's orders tbh.

Wow. super short game for a sand boxish title. all done in 14 hours.

Disappointing...thought the last area was building to something...just got a badass gun too.

Definitely cuts it to a 7/10

BF3 servers have been doing a number on me so I've jumped back onto RAGE tonight for a few hours. It's good, but it's not brilliant.

I find that I'm walking away from people when they're talking to me because I just want to head off and get the mission over and done with..... Continually on the lookout for something more.

I'll keep playing it, but at this stage it's candidate to be traded in for Uncharted 3.

How far in are you? I loved it for the first six or so hours, but the game didn't change after that. Trade RAGE for Uncharted ASAP!

I'm only about half way through winning weaponry for my buggy.

I have to admit, I thought RAGE was going to be a lot more FPS than it actually is.

Playing the demo that's finally appeared on the PS Store.

Game looks damn good, not the best looking game out there...so many jaggies! But very pretty, great lighting. And smooth as butter framerate.

Voice acting is ridiculously quiet though, so strange.

Lack of direction/objective is a bit of a killer in the 'Hub World/Area'. I get that it's probably something you'd come to just know your way around by the time you got a few hours into the game, but when you're just wanting to jump into something and have to work around to 10-15 people before finding someone with something to do...it's just a pain in the arse.

Got into the races first up, was bored with it by the 2nd lap of the first race (and you have to complete about 5 or 6 to get to the FPS stuff:(). There's just nothing going on. And the racing is a little bland too, it's just accelerate and boost. Would've thought drifting would be a big thing, but that's not there. If it's non-combat I could see the racing becoming a huge chore, especially with the stiff driving too that's only really good when you're going at a higher speed. Even with combat it's still too basic.

Took forever to find the Mayor's office. And once that stuff was done it was FINALLY into the FPS action. Really taken far too long to get into the FPS stuff when you're playing a damn FPS focussed game (/demo)!

And thankfully the gunplay is absolutely fantastic. Very smooth, very accurate and feels great. There's a lot of the old style FPS of shoot and move backwards but that still works well enough. A great part is that it's more hip fire based instead of the usual ADS type stuff that COD has ushered in.

The weapons are great and very fun to use, WINGSTICK FTW! And because the enemy animations are so fantastic too it really gives a great sense of feedback. To think the animations were all done by hand and not mo-cap is insane too.

Really like the de-fib system to keep you alive. Having recently restarted playing Far Cry 2, the buddy system they have in that, that keeps you alive when first downed is a great way to keep the action moving.

Checkpointing is HORRIBLE though, die once and you start all the way back at the start of the level.:thumbsd:

Decent demo. Will probably grab the game when it's bargain price.
