God creates and ends your life. He doesn't want you to end your own life. It is against the word of God.

I've really dug myself into a big hole now...
Okay. So if God is the divine force of the universe, wouldn't it be impossible for one person to go against such a grain and end it themselves? What is the difference between a freak accidental suicide, and a planned suicide?

Come on mate. Lets not go down this path.
2 things not good to talk about religion & suicide its touchy.

You are both wrong. Wookies could kick both their asses. Also I think that every religion is an absolute load of bullshit, especially the self-contradicting Christianity.

If your all going to continue can you please take it to the religious boards, not here, this is a place of sharing our ideas and things that happen to us. Let's get back to the good stuff okay :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Well put THB. New subject.

Whats everyones thoughts on the cricket today. I reckon we'll take the foot off the pedal a bit and bat out a draw on a typical adelaide road.

Problem guys.

I'm on photoshop cs5 and I accidentally close one of the bars on the side (under essentials). It was the one with the layers on it and I need it back.

Anyone??

This is really annoying me.

Ah, the religion debate :D. Has no-one seen the South Park episode that shows what would happen if the world was atheists? Or the one where Kenny and Cartman are put in an agnostic foster home? All religion, including no religion has its downfalls.
Hell, I'm happy to be a "believer" of the Catholic faith. Sending me to Catholic schools was as close as my parents got to trying to shove their beliefs down my throat. I believe in God but not three quarters of the other crap that is taught in the bible or by religious teachers, such as going to mass and that gays should be treated any differently....

And as someone who has gone through some low stages in my life (nothing compared to some other BF members who have posted their experiences in a GD thread, that topic really hits home how many males especially do suffer), I can empathise with anyone else who feels the same way. Depression is not simply a state of mind, it absolutely eats away at you day by day, and you need a shitload of love, care and support.
Anyone who takes the "harden up" approach towards someone with depression deserves a straight right to the melon. You go through highs and lows and some people even get to the point where they consider ending their own life, which as SA stated, is truly heartbreaking. Its a case of taking it day by day and trying to keep a positive outlook on life. Through last year where I hit a low stage after an, erm, unfortunate series of events I really bottomed out, but right now I feel quite good. I still have my days, but it'll probably always be like that and I just have to, as I said, take life day by day and try to stay positive. God rest the soul of anyone who has unfortunately ended their lives and help those in need of a bit of strength. Pious ending but just my two cents' worth.

Now, to change the line of discussion....Sorry but I'm always a bit late on these topics living in another country and all :o.....
Really pumped for the cricket today and hopefully we'll be seeing a clean sweep come Saturday. If there's a cricket team I hate with a passion more than England its India. I'm anticipating nothing more than the usual tarmac surface and a massive drawn game with over 400 in each innings....New Zealand play Zimbabwe in a solitary test on Thursday too. Just imagining how funny itd be if we lost it. Hell, we almost lost the one over there.....
And anyone else watch the NFC Championship game yesterday? Pretty thrilling stuff. Eli Manning is god-like.

I honestly don't have much interest in this test. I really do hope we don't take the pedal off and we rub the proverbial salt in the wound though!

Yeah, a whitewash of India would be great. But what I'm more hoping for are good performances from Cowan, Hilfy, Ponting and my man Hussey. But particulary Cowan. If he makes a big score, it'd be very hard to drop him when Watto comes back.

God is kinda like Santa. Minds that are deemed too precious to know the truth are fed this stuff. When you grow up you learn Santa does not exist. Some people grow further and realise no God exists... and that's my two cents.

I've seen the first of those - it's in a two-parter, where Eric freezes himself in the snow to speed up waiting for the Nintendo Wii, he gets lost in time and is revived in 2546, where there's a holy war over what is the correct form of atheism.

South Park is an awesome show. I need to buy the box set to catch up on the shows I missed due to SBS' lack of promotion over the years.

On the topic of cricket:

Am not going to follow Australia in T20s any more after yet another snub to Brad Hodge. Age can't be a problem if they can pick Brad Hogg who's nearly 41, and throw Brett Lee another lifeline. And let's not mention the axing of Cameron White... irrespective of form, how come he's expendable? Michael Clarke had a rough trot in T20 before he gave it away but he didn't get the chop.

Test cricket = much better.
BUT, why is Shaun Marsh still there?? Should have been dropped. Or is he going to be the new Marcus North, where he gets dropped 6 months after his form slump begins?
Probably also worth noting Mike Hussey's stayed in the team during two form slumps now, he's climbed out of the second and is back in form.

After a gruelling run/swim/run during rowing camp, we turned on ESPN in the last minute of regulation and stayed to finish it off. I wish I could skip school to watch the Super Bowl...

I have said this every year but every year I go to school, find a computer, go to espn and follow the game live so there's no loss for me ;)

Yeh. Has to be one of the greatest ever made. Takes the piss out of everything. There's no political, religious or cultural bias.

Back to cricket....Watching India play is painful. The sooner Australia ends this series the better. Getting more and more pumped for our test against Zimbabwe, strangely. Wondering if the steady diet of T20 cricket the players have had will have any impact on their performance in the test arena. McCullum will be coming off two centuries, and Guptill and Brownlie one each. And Wright has gone on a hunch and plucked an Otago batting all-rounder, Sam Wells from near obscurity. Interesting.....

Great knock by punter :thumbsu:

Now would be a good time to retire.
