Hey guys, I'm fairly new to bigfooty.com and just getting a feel for the forum. Really loving this part of the forum and some of the stuff you guys come up with. I'm looking for a playing shirt design for a local team I play with and was wanting to hit some people up for design's but because I'm new, I want to just find out what the 'correct' process should be according to forum etiquette.

Is it ok to just start a thread asking for designs? Do I start a competition with some kind of monetary award? Is it best to PM the designers whose work I like and ask for them to do a design for a fee?

You could make a thread but I'm not sure about Doc's take on this, or just PM anyone on the board and we'll be happy to design something for you!

Yeah, go ahead. Maybe offer a prize of the winning designer getting a copy for free or something though? But we've had threads like that before.

What's the point of putting 'blades' on guernseys when everyone else knows you as XBlades.

Because the jumpers only had their 'X' on it, that doesn't really tell people the company is called XBlades/Blades while having Blades on the jumper tells people the company is called XBlades/Blades. You could also say that their 'X' isn't that well known, unlike some other companys that have a logo instead of the company name (Puma cat and Nike tick) and that may of been one of the reasons why 'Blades' are on the jumpers.


I was looking at their website and they keep calling themselves 'Blades', maybe they're looking at getting rid of the 'X'?
