That’s what I said re 2019 and the earlier 2006 decision, I was agreeing with you on that point. I disagree with the actual SC decision as you need a unified federal voice on this issue.The SC ruled in 2019 the issue of gerrymandering was a states issue. And this doesn't touch on the issue of 'accidental' mismanaging of polling places. They need a federal statutory body to oversee elections, but they won't, as their conception of democracy is about restricting it.
I do agree on the need for a wider body to oversee gerrymandering as it keeps happening in the modern America. Both parties refuse to do it and the SC seems to be weak willed on the matter.
