Just wanted to post something about Ivermectin because of the carry on yesterday because Rogan took it as part of his treatment of COVID-19. I’m not getting into whether or not it works for treating covid because the jury is still out and I am in no position to argue either way.

What I wanted to say is that it’s really irritating me that everyone is saying don’t take a horse dewormer for covid- der.

Ivermectin won the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

It’s a completely safe, FDA approved treatment for many things but most notably, curing river blindness. Curing river blindness was massive. In remote areas river blindness was so bad that the majority of adults in villages were blind and had to be lead around by children, till the children eventually become blind. Ivermectin cured that and now people have their vision back and their independence restored.

So it’s really been annoying me that people who just want to pile on people taking it saying sh*t like “lol they think a horse dewormer can cure covid”. It’s annoying be because a) it undermines the amazing thing this medicine achieved, and b) there’s no risk taking it so if you catch covid and taking doesn’t work there’s zero risk so why not give it a go?! Of course get vaccinated but if you catch covid that’s not an option is it?

All the theoretical medical work into ivermectin/protocols/treatment procedures for covid, came from Australia also. it isn’t some rwnj jerk circle, it came from a very good place.

vaccine is the apex but we also needed treatment options for places that could never afford vaccination.

There are undoubtedly at least some people who will seek Ivermectin as a Covid treatment now because Joe Rogan used it. That's why someone of influence who doesn't have a clue shouldn't be reeling off their experimental treatment during a pandemic.

I don’t know what they’re doing, aus doctors are generally some of the best trained in the world, so they’ll be on top of it.

There are many people straight up worshipping this drug despite the inconclusive evidence turned up to date about its effectiveness. Many of whom will completely ignore that he was also dosing up with other, officially recommended treatments. I wasn't referring to you in particular.

Almost everyone I've seen has been reacting to the assurances from a certain grouping in society that it works, rather than dismissing it as not working most people I've seen hold the 'wait and see if the studies show anything' approach.

The drug has been politicised by the anti-vaccination crowd for obvious reasons, and now people are chugging horse dewormer. Most commenters are reacting to the 'worshippers', not the people who are calmly and rationally awaiting for the trials.

Absolutely. It's just in the case of Ivermectin, the research has been done and the results are that it has not proven to be an efficient treatment. Putting your finger up your arse won't harm you, but it doesn't mean it'll treat Covid.

I think it’s more to do with accelerationism, that doesn’t work with a world wide digital ID/vaccine passport system if there’s an available cure of cheap, cocktail of drugs.

Its more they (ie the mates and contacts of that guy on the pfizer board) are running pr for the pfizer vaccine than they are supressing Ivermectin for fun and profit. That's why the AZ Vaccine has been subject to constant shit in the media as well.

I saw that Will Anderson show last night and the jokes about horse drugs were done to death. But they used to advertise animal treatments with Icvermectin in them - cattle drenchs, they are probably in the dogs' anti tick stuff. (Which reminds me. I have to buy the dogs their anti tick stuff.) If you knew what you were doing you could get the ivermectin out of the drench, provided it was in a safe and effective form for human consumption. if you didn't know what you were doing, or ****ed up, you might end up in hospital and an international laughing stock.
