Sounds awesome. Enjoy mate. I couldn’t get in anywhere today to catch up with my parents so we’re going to their place. Some places were booked out till halfway through November, even big beer gardens.
Enjoy the freedom mate.

Enjoy the freedom mate.

I will mate! BJJ doesn’t open back up till the 9th for my kids and boy do they need it. Not a lot of exercise going over the last couple of months.

Knowing absolutely nothing about guns why doesn't a " prop gun " just make a loud noise ? Why aren't more actors killed ?

I know nothing about guns. Brandon Lee is the first I thought of but iirc something weird happened with something logged in the chamber or barrel from a previous shot.

Man that sucked at the time. He had such a bright future.

At risk of going full Rogan Stan, I like the guy but I listen because a lot of the guests he has on are fascinating. The one recently with Historian Bartow Elmore was mind blowing. His deep dive into Coca Cola was interesting but man the stuff about monsanto is incredible. Even if you don’t like Joe, he’s probably doing the podcast circuit so he might appear on something else. What that company has gotten away with is out of this world. Anyway if you care about the environment or even know people that have been effected by their chemicals is worth a listen of watch.

Genuine question; Where are the jimmy dore, rogan, pool, those Weinstein loser free speech advocates?

This isn’t a private company banning accounts.

I reckon this is a good thing.

I'd rather CRT appealed to kids who don't fit in at school than banned nazi shit myself cos info is more likely to attract their attention when its banned.

I saw this vid where an American school board or something where they are bringing in books that deny the happenings of the holocaust lmao

I reckon it's a good thing to; with so much love in the air, it must mean Alabama will be the first place anywhere in the West to pay reparations for slavery

Didn’t one of our posters make a wiki North BigFooty page a few years back? Iirc it was Orange Peanut

Think it was part of a uni assignment or something like that
Mate when I went to uni, encyclopaedias were 24 bound volumes and the internet was an emerging technology that might one day be used in homes.

It wasn't until 2015 that Alabama mandated teaching evolution and climate change as real things in its school system.

Even at the start of last year it was an issue in the Alabama school system. Last year!!! 20-****en-20!!

So you know ... Alabama not teaching critical race theory? Big ****en deal. They need to sort out the basics first.

Censorship is the wrong way to go about it, even if it's detestable. You need to also a viable alternative rather than the status quo. The Anti-CRT mob are just as bad and cringeworthy as the pro-CRT mob.

The KKK was originally formed to protect wholesome American Christians from the Evil Jews.

None of that stuff has ever gone away.

In Alabama they do things differently around there…..

I don’t give a shit about CRT, but if ur gonna teach the American history might as well teach it as a whole and not leaving out parts like that Christopher Columbus stole land, Robert E. Lee was not only a confederate general but also owned slaves, you get the point.

American school system is fooked so bad the poor children

There used to be some sort of bogus Wiki floating about that had an entry in relation to Zondor and "the gang". It was f***ing hilarious. I just did a quick search for it and unfortunately, it's disappeared into the ether. Just like Artichoke and serial non-poster Onip.
Pretty sure it was _aria_ / Nice Cunnington. A misunderstood savant of sorts that made this place more enjoyable. Not sure what he's up to these days but he was bloody funny.

Yes, abusing Marxist conflict theory by altering class to race and combining it with marxist-esque race power dynamics/structures into every single situation, because its use of post-modernism as analytical tool offers nothing practical, is just plain wonderful. They even kept the revolution side of it too. CRT isn't Marxist though, but it launders a lot from it and its lineage trace right back to Critical Legal Studies, which was an offshoot of marxist Critical Theory in the 1930s. The attempt to make it out as an attack on a vague legal definition from the 1980s is from the exact some copybook of true marxism has not been tried yet. It's called praxis.

With a deep sense of sarcasm:
Making everything about skin colour, wonderful, that's never caused any issues ever. We all know MLK's quote on the issue. Real heritage from the civil rights movement there aye, not.

Applying race-centric collective guilt to current and future generations, wonderful, that's never caused any issues either...

Calling an entire race (even through 'white' denotes a number of different ethnic groups) racist is just plain wonderful. Making a person feel like shit because they had the sheer nerve to be born with a certain skin colour is going to solve all racism...

Returning race-based segregation, wonderful, that's never caused any issues...

Racial generalisations, wonderful, that's never caused any issues...

The bigotry of soft expectations, that is definitely not based on racial stereotypes and will definitely solve education and salary gaps...

Treating people that they never had a chance because of obscure and undefinable power dynamics is just plain inspiring...

Kendl's, a noted theorist 'inspired' by CRT, quote "The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discriminations," is just plain wonderful...

Using red-guard style struggle sessions in 'diversity and inclusion' workshops, wonderful...

Adopting racial-quotas, wonderful...

Advocating book-burning because they were written by white men, because book-burning has always ended so well...

Tearing down the western-prescribed nuclear family is really going to solve racism and has nothing to do with Marx-esque power structures...

Classing objectivity and timeliness as aspects of white supremacy, yea, because that's totally normal to say.

Using terms like multi-racial whiteness for any 'person of colour' that disagree with CRT, just wonderful...

Any criticisms, call it a dog whistle or simply call them racist without an actual shred of proof.

Imagine actually using the noble cause of anti-racism and abusing it by overtly racist in kind. I have read Bell, Crenshaw, Kendl and co., they are all cut from the same cloth.

You want to defend a set of theories so overtly racist and labels and treats me as a racist purely because of my skin colour, go nuts, but I am done with you and with this thread. It has been made abundantly clear that you have never respected me in the first place if you genuinely believe in CRT's core tenets.

I should have just taken my que and permanently left the site when Sopworths called me a racist for just posting objective facts. Barely anyone here stood up for me or messaged me, not to mention the other misrepresentations and insinuations of racism, sexism and fascism that have accompanied me in these threads from other posters.

Just plain disappointing.

CRT is not American history. Can’t confuse the two. American history is something that happened, critical race theory is a theory. No one is stopping history education.

The main problems I see with CRT are that it leans to replace meritocracy by placing people less qualified to do a job, or land a scholarship based purely on race to try and make up for historical racism.

I’m pretty new to this topic. Only found out it was a thing about half a year ago when I asked what CRT meant….lol.

I’m still on the fence on weather or not CRT is going to have a positive impact on society, to me, at the moment it just seems a bit gimmicky to keep the poor people happy while everyone ignores the gap widens between real wealth and working class.

I don’t know but it’s got my attention now for some reason. It’s got a bit of “let them eat cake” about it. Just don’t get a movement happening where people start to question why all the politicians are rich and everyone else is poor.

I think u missed the point of my post LMFAO, I never said it was history.

My point was pertaining to CRT being taught in schools especially when talking about history and how it teaches you to ‘hate’ The United States and ‘hate’ white ppl which is not true. It’s about changing the narrative, and recognising stories that have lead to systematic disparities that still exist today.

You make great points but don’t do that. I don’t think Ferbs would call you a racist.

I don’t know enough about CRT to have an opinion as to weather or not it’s right.
I mean I’m a white Australian man in my late 30’s so what do I know about systemic racism? I do know that I grew up poor though. Mum would hate me saying that but it’s true. When you spend your childhood sleeping on a mattress on the floor of friends and family and go to 6 different primary schools because you’re living out of a car and traveling the country it’s kind of true. It was fun though. Didn’t know we were poor tbh. Never wanted for anything and never went hungry, mum worked hard to make sure I never missed out. Spose it helped when half the people she grew up with were crooks so we always had the best clothes etc. but she made sure to break out of that life, her dad was a quasi gangster (a docky), he was a product of the foster home system and her mum was given to an orphanage as soon as her mum got here from Ireland. Anyway I’m way off track

I had some issues when I was in hospital this year with a couple of young people saying shit like “typical middle age white males” as an insult. I’m pretty cruisey but it happened a few times in group so I had to ask the lady, “why just white males?”…she just ignored me lol. And apparently I’m privileged.

It was very annoying and it’s a hill I’m willing to die on.

You're right. we've done this literally, and i mean that literally, what feels like a million times. Again, in regards to the ''You want to defend a set of theories so overtly racist and labels and treats me as a racist purely because of my skin colour', it's just not true and you're still collecting the personal with the systemic application of it IMO. But it's been said and done and you shouldn't abandon this thread because of these re-hashed convos. Your contributions are far too interesting, even when i disagree.

It is literally one of the central facets of the ideology he is saying is perfect (nothing wrong, same thing). I can post excerpts from multiple CRT and 'CRT-inspired' journal articles, but I will just go with the below.
