I've just come out the other end of a solid 2 weeks of some sort of Flu/Gastro hybrid illness ... its been a very ordinary couple of weeks I can assure you.

I only took two days off work for it due to responsibilities and a pesky feeling of obligation ... yet one of the guys in my team called in sick today because he's got a cough and headache ... I know I'm at the other end of the spectrum, but I hate people like that.

I hate XMas parties so much.

Its bad enough i have to spend the majority of the year with people i dont like, then they make me do something with them in my own time.

True story: Well ours were having too many punch ons so they cut the grog back last year but then the abuse went up cause they didnt buy as much.

This year its off site. lol

Our Christmas parties are off-site and unofficial because the company doesn't give one (if you couldn't tell by the stripper).

Similar vein though, thought it was funny just before last Christmas when the boss decided to get everyone together in the same room for a summary of the year and for the rank and file to provide some honest feedback in an "open environment". I'll take Terrible Ideas for $1,000, Alex. Tempted to bring some note paper next time and draw up a matrix of the engineering department to document who is a campaigner, who is useless, who is a useless campaigner, who needs to be fired, who needs to be drowned in a puddle, etc.

Yeah that's my ugly mug. I have a couple of kayaks as well as the boat. I find I get better fish in the kayak to be honest and I don't have to paddle...... I pedal. It's a Hobie which is pretty easy to get around in.
