It's been an entertaining week in politics.

Trump was an awful President, it's great he's gone, but unfortunately he has caused massive division within his country and it will take decades to resolve.

Whether Biden can bring people together remains to be seen I guess, but it's better than the other option.

Who thought we'd actually see the day where the leader of the free world would refuse to accept the people's vote though? It's going to be a crazy few months over there.

Disagree. Most people don't vote on economic grounds (which is fair because there's little between them on that anyway). They vote on social grounds. The "coastal elites" stereotype is mostly about the twitter left telling people they're wrong for living the way they've always lived. Until the left finds a way to moderate that tone, it's going to have trouble winning over the majority of any country.

The democrats are not on the left.

I suppose you think the right needs to moderate their bigotry as well?

I don't see how "holding China to account" is really possible. We have no economy without them buying our resources, and people love buying cheap plastic Chinese crap. We gave them all the power in the relationship, now we just have to live with that.

Diversify supply chains. Have a hard line in expansion. Address human rights issues.

As someone who most likely would not have voted if I was in the states for this election purely for the fact I don't pay any attention to politics, I just watched Biden's speech as the old man had it on and thought it was very good!

I like the message of unity and aiming to work as a whole and not Red vs Blue, whether likely or even possible I wouldn't have a clue but seems to be a decent message to persue.
