Is the World Cup going to be big in Australia? Are you looking forward to it? Hopefully the national team does you proud.
Yes its going to be big and yes I'm looking forward to it but with realistic expectations.

They have pulled a shifty move here it's being broadcast on free to air but the main pay TV provider foxtel don't have the rights.

This will mean a lot of people who would have watched games on foxtel now won't bother.

Good luck to your team, what are your expectations.

Quarter finals for England would represent success I think. No chance of winning it. Hope the Socceroos can hold their own in a very difficult group.

Just wondering how many of you Saints fans are from the St Kilda area, and, if not, what part of Melbourne/elsewhere are you from and why Saints?

Used to live in *West Balaclava ( sounded that bit classier than St Kilda East) & Caulfield, after travelling all over the country side, now settled up on the Darling Downs.

When arriving from UK obviously have to pick a side
Being in a diff State of the country, for some reason I didn't watch SANFL as i always seemed to see VFL highlights on the telly.
Kids at school followed either the hawks or the bombers in the VFL or port adelaide or Glenelg in the SANFL
So when watching VFL highlights I had no idea who was good or bad or any history of teams, all I saw was colours and players
Was watching saints highlights playing someone, can't remember who, and saw Tony Plugger Lockett come steaming out of the goal square at a million miles an hr bombing goals from 50.

I picked a side
Was meant to be, the saints have had as much success as the other teams I support

About 2 hrs slightly north west.

Which is closer than about 6 hours when I was 2.

I lived in St Kilda and Elwood for a while but now in Caulfield North about 10 minutes away. Have a business there still.

Live just outside of Wodonga now days. But my grandparents live - well my 93 yr old Grandfather - in Moorabbin. Just off of Chapel Rd. Lived there myself for a few years. There was no hope of being a follower of anyone else. Still remember watching the Saints at Linton st.

Born and bred in Moorabbin which at the time, and again now, IS the St Kilda Football Club, if not St Kilda The Suburb.

I'm hoping to move up there soon with my wife to be, if I can land a job. Seems a great spot.

Has anybody ever had synvisc injections in their knee.

If you have I would appreciate any feedback, my knees are cactus bone on bone.

Australian soaps of the 1980s/90s which were shown over here on daytime TV. My gran loved Sons and Daughters and Young Doctors; my mum was a Sullivans fan. For us kids it was Neighbours and Home and Away. Ah simpler times; at school we all thought Australia was very glamorous: sunshine and swimming pools in the gardens - unbelievable. And then there was the strange case of Prisoner Cell Bloch H attracting a cult following years after the episodes had been made. It used to be shown late Sunday night.

You are responsible for some right shit polluting our televisions :D
