How come when you open the Freo board it only displays posts from the last day but when you open any other team boards it shows all their threads from the past week?

Anyone know? Or does this only happen to me?

I was just thinking that maybe we would get a bit more action happening around here if our threads automatically stayed on the page for a week like all the other boards.

Good question, threads shouldn't last forever but they should be around long enough for a good discussion to ...

I thought it might have had something to do with me having read all the threads already so I just tried a little experiment - I logged out and opened up a few different boards as a guest.

Sure enough the Freo board still only showed threads from the last day while other team boards have the last week.

Seems like all the boards have their own settings (eg the main board shows the last month) so maybe we need to get ours changed. At the moment we only have 3 non sticky threads showing (including this one), no wonder our board seems dead compared to some of the other teams.

Lachy you seem to be the mod that makes things happen these days. Wanna check it out for us?

I hope they change it as being a supporter from another team, it does not allow me to view any older threads

This might help esti, but I'm not sure.
When you open the main page, scroll down to the bottom left....see display options and select the thread age that you wish.

It's automatic for me mate.

I can change it to a week but as soon as I load another page and then reload the Freo board it reverts back to only showing threads from the last day.

Change Thread Default Age Cut off to whatever you want (mine is set to a month and that's about 2/3 pages of threads)

My display threads settings is set to 'Use Forum Defaults' which is what makes me think the Freo forum is set to one day.

It's not so much that I want to change it for me, I want it changed for anyone who opens the Freo board so that we might get a bit more happening on here. One day is pretty limited when people can only see 2 or 3 threads.

Well during the year I think it wouldn't matter as much because threads last a week or so max before we move on.

Off-Season on the other hand I can understand changing it.

But you'd have to ask the big boys about that one.

Cheers but like I said, I'm trying to get the default setting changed so anyone who comes on here can see a week's worth of threads.

This has become my new crusade - I would take it the suggestion board but they always seem to ask if you've brought it up with your own mods first.

go people power. it was either conform with all the other sheep or put a sticky up saying visit every day or GTFO. This was one that it was better to take the 1st option. But now we should start a thread for each club titled "Why I hate .............", seeing they'll get to see it of course.

We don't want to forget why we hate them all so much, sometimes we all just need a little reminder.
