This genre is probably along with house the worst thing to call itsellf music. The rappers are all pricks that write shit lyrics. I loved how Noel Gallagher said that american kids should'nt bd allowed to buy records until they are 16 because they will go buy shit like Eminem.

Thank god you didnt add kanye west, i cant believe that people think he is talented. The bloody prick makes all his money saying he is christian and singing about that.

I dont mind him, he's not as great as everyone says but the song 'jesus Walks' is great I reckon, its true becoz you can get away with singing about anything except Christianity, I mean WTF why is that off limits, I've heard more rap songs abot Islam than I've heard about Christianity, sure not everyone is a Christian and fair enough but why should some singers like heavy metal artists be able to sing about thier passion to Satan and Kanye not be allowed to sing about his passion of God?

But all in all he's nothing spectacular I'll pay you that.

The only reason he wants to sing about Jesus is because he wasnt a thug of the street, he didnt do drugs and live the hard life, he was in college and nobody would even know the name Kanye unless he sings about something Controversial, so i dont have much respect for him, but hey he needs to get rich somehow, so he and the metal heads that worship the devil will sing about stuff like that.

well all I can say is that he must be doing something right, coz I know if I went into a recording booth and sung about Jesus or anything for that matter I wouldnt be able to seel shite
 
The main reason i hate rap is because the guys act like a bunch of twats, they think there hard ***** of the streets, instead of acting like twats why dont they try to make decent music instead of making crap about how i got shot, im gonna kill him her. Ive never heard a rap song that isnt violent except for Kanye west and a MIMS song (MIMS is a bitch btw).

Look, i dont understand why rappers have to make fake problems in there life, just so that they can have something to sing about, Kanye dropped out of college, so he called his album college dropout. Why cant these rappers sing songs about normal stuff, instead of stuff they do just so they can make songs.

I thought you said do you want to be in the rap song im writing, how the hell am i supposed to know what to put in it. The onus is on the rapper to write something decent instead of crap, im not the rapper, but i am the listener and i know that they sing about crap they force, like shooting some tosser or fuking some girl. seriously how can i take a song like akons seriously.

By far the dumbest thing i have heard - most good rap (and music in general) is written from life experiences.....i am sure some rappers even chose to be black so that they could write an album about the racist aspects of their society:rolleyes:.

You also seem to think that only rappers write about "stuff they do".....have you heard an arctic monkey's album - Most of their songs are about experiences/stories that happened to them.....and that is purely 1 of 10000000000000000000 examples of non-rap albums/bands i could bring up!

I doubt that a failing sex life is something that Alex Turner has encountred, anyway Arctic monkeys are a perfect example, they sing about previous experiences in alot of songs, but they actually have really good lyrics, whereas a rapper would go straight to the point instead of being smart and using big words like nostolgia.

I am a massive monkeys fan but they do not have great lyrics because they 'beat around the bush' - it is the artistic styling. Good rappers use analogies, etc as much as whatever band you like and saying something in 10 words where someone else would use 50 is 9/10 the better approach

there is good music in all genres and while i might not listen to a lot of metal i know that they are still talented artists who work hard and love what they do. everyone in the music business is in it for the fans, they want to make YOU happy.

You seem to forget that i said not all rap is good. I could come and say all pop-rock is crap as "hey hey you you i don't like your girlfriend" is bad, but that is a very poor argument.

Of course some rap is bad, some rap is the worst music of all time - however some rap is the best music ever written. You have raised on other threads that you shouldn't judge the crappiness of Good Charlotte without listening to the entire album. You are writing off an entire genre of music and i doubt you have listened to every rap album - or have you?:rolleyes:

Have you ever listened to Straight outta Compton? The Chronic? etc? etc? etc?
