Have St Kilda wasted a pick on another undisciplined player??. His attitude comes across as one of he doesn't need to try so hard because he will get a game because of his brother...... people say he didn't try that hard in the U18's because he wanted to lower his value to get picked up by St Kilda.... thats all very nice and convenient isn't it...... but maybe he is just a lazy player? Here is why I think so.....

After the draft at the tennis centre... they interviewed Raphael Clarke.... his response when interviewed was "Its gonna be pretty hard to be away from Darwin" "Hopefully StKilda gives me a week off in the near future"

This coming from someone who hasnt even left Darwin yet.... and he is already complaining and asking for a week off in the future?????... Who does this kid think he is..... What are the chances of him going "walkabout" about half way through the year... thats if his form warrants him even getting a game... he may struggle to even perform in the Reserves..... and then who knows.... holding the club to ransom... may end up being like the Longmuirs at Fremantle... a case of "You re-sign my brother or else I won't sign"

Be very interesting to see.... because his attitude already appears all wrong.... but I expected no less.

:D

The Saints must be doing something right if that is the best thing you can come up with.

He's got every right to want to return home to Darwin from time to time. He's a young kid moving across the country away from all his family bar his brother.

You may be surprised to know that Nick Riewoldt goes "walkabout" back to the Gold Coast occassionally, Justin Koschitzke returns to Brocklesby when he gets the chance and Steven Baker gets back to Colac as much as possible.

Does Raphael wanting to play for St Kilda aggrevate you that badly? :D

Very well said i must say.
Everybody had that same attitude with d motlop at the roos. Just because he mite want to see his family occasionally does not mean he wants to quit a club or be lazy. If thats the case they can't play anywhere, the last time i looked there are no AFL teams playing out of darwin.

How dare a 17 year old possibly consider asking for a week off to visit family and friends he would be unable to see at any other time? Frankly, I'm shocked, we should drop him now.
Honestly, what is your big problem with this? If I moved interstate, I'd expect to go home once in a while to catch up with everyone? I'd be disapointed if he wasn't offered this chance by St Kilda.
The rest of this is hearsay, drivel and your own personal anti-Saints bias. Holds about as much water as a sieve with a large hole in it.

if raph wants to go home for a day or two in the future as for any player youed let them.
Like at carlton this year justin davies was missing his family and was struggling for form he went away came back and he was injured in his next game but the one after that had his best game of the year.
While a lot of the players who would do this are young and have moved interstate it's no good not letting them go back for a day or two as they will lack what ever that thing is that keeps u going.

Your true colors

Hey *choke* I see YOUR true colors
Try researching all interviews before posting negative dribble

Re your comments about Clarke's poor attitude, here's an extract from an interview:

Seeing Double at Moorabbin. by Scot Spits. afl.com.au 25 Nov '03

".......do what I have to do, put my head down and do the hard work, if I get a chance, I'll be rapt" Raphael Clarke.

Furthermore, what did you mean by "...I expected no less."
What were your expectations of Raphael Clarke, and if they were low, why.

Posting that wouldn't suit his motive.

Don't think I'm lying here, but i was good friends with the Clarke family when i lived in Darwin.. I was in the same class as Raph and played footy with him. IMHO, i believe Raph is a better player than his brother.. He is a harder worker, quicker, taller although the only thing that let's him down are his arrogance and decision making when he has the ball..
I must admit, having arrogance is a good trait, but only in doses..
If i remember correctly, i think his family is moving down here aswell? I maybe wrong, but it would be good for him to have his whole family here, aswell as his close mates in the Motlop boys..

.
I wouldn't call getting a 16-17 yr old girl preggers "missing his family".

Yes I called him a loser....before reading your post, it must be how he readily comes across as being....at the time he was taking aim at the Swanette, and the Moderator

Look the guy is seriously ****ed in the head.
Clearly he isn't a West Coast supporter so much as an anti-St Kilda muck-raker.

I strongly advise anyone who reads this post to go to the user cp button and select ignore list and add chris_judd to it.

Then every time he posts ignore it - don't reply. He is a jerk and thrives on stirring. Don't feed him what he wants. Never reply to his taunts.

(I have just done so here because garth p just pushed this back to the top).

Sure he's a racist, just ask Joffa, but C_J already knows that - he just doesn't see anything wrong with that.

Ignore him (?her)

I can remember Riewoldt's father saying on League Teams during the Break (Rd 12 I think it was) that it was fantastic because he would get to see his son for the weekend.

I dont think Judd understands that the kid needs his time at home. He is only 17, imagine at 17 being brought into the corporate world that is football.

As football is absolutely a business, is Raph wants any time off at all he would have to request it VERY early and make sure his "time off" was WELL documented... or it just doesnt end up happening. I wonder if that was something his brother would have taught him?

Point is, Im sure his bro is giving him advice on what he needs to make sure of before getting to the club. Learning from ones mistakes is normal, but when your bro has been down the same path... why not work off experience!
