Very dangerous player at his best, I think somewhat overlooked at times too.

Absolutley loved him eventhough he was a Essendon feral, I remember the game against Geelong in the centenary year whern he kicked (9 goals ?) coming back from a knee reco.

His retirement was one of the reasons why Essendon went on the decline after the 2000 premiership year, he was consistent quick and a game breaker.

My favourite Bewick goal came midway through the last quarter of the '93 Preliminary Final. He had the ball from a set shot, in the forward pocket, with no angle to speak of, on the wrong side for a right footer and dobbed it straight through the middle.

The Southern Stand raised as one.

He had a strange old year in '94, though.

Hated his red guts!!! Could play though.... had one of those heads that made you want to belt him with a shovel.... repeatedly.

Definitely had one of those heads!

Glad he is imparting his knowledge down at Roo-land.
