Agree. None of them have improved. Same old, same old. Toovey seems slightly down from last year and Harry is just plain awkward. Stands around the pack looking the ball and then struts around like he is wearing flippers.

Ummm....and you barrack for Collingwood? It's funny but I go to the footy and say things like that about opposition players. Personally, I think Harry has been very good except for the odd game against match-winning forwards. I know he's not well liked in this forum generally, and I know why he's not liked but he deserves some respect.

As for Toovs, his numbers were down last year from 2010. You would have to know the role that the coaching staff have given him for the last 2 years. Still a gutsy player who never gives up...

He is the kind of player that if you don't notice him he has probably done a good job.

People criticising Tooves are just looking for a scapegoat in my opinion. Shaw and Nathan Brown were worse on the weekend but it is easier to criticise the possum.

Toovey was on Rioli. If you think Rioli played well then Tooves is at fault. I did not think Rioli was a huge factor for the Hawks but he did some nice things, including a brilliant clearance from the middle for the first goal of the game.

Second...unless he kicked it to Sidebottom?

Sorry just nit picking. I thought Rioli was extremely good - but it's hard to keep a player who goes into the midfield from having 15+ disposals, especially if you are playing in the backline. Rioli is just too quick, too skilled and too evasive for pretty much anyone really - good to watch but very inconsistant.

I think he is better than the last few years, he oviously doesnt get alot of the ball which is good becuase he is a pretty poor user of the ball but deffensively, I think he has shut his opponent more often then not.

He was woefull today, possibly the worst game i've seen him play since he became a reguler, he wasn't alone though, Daisy wasn't far behind either, he played like shit.

Daisy is injured, I think you'll find he'll miss this week.

those saying that he was decent on rioli are blind.

rioli tore us a new one when the game was there to be won in the third quarter
Not to mention also his pivotal role in the first goal of the game.

I think our backline is playing differently defenseively compared to last year. They all start on a man when the ball is bounced, but after that they just occupy space and their opponents get in between them in space with us being too far away to close them down.
