They were around the same age as the arctic monkeys when this came out.And there wasnt that much talk about there age either.Uk number 1 album
For me its a classic,just has a big warm fuzzy feeling about it.
Look at the bands from that era..
Oasis - crap now
Blur - still good and inventive - see 13,think tank
The verve - broke up and Richard ashcrofts solo stuff is pretty lame
pulp - broke up
Supergrass - every single album from i should coco to Road to Ruin is different and top class.Each album has its own feel,they have stood the test of time the best out of the lot IMO.Blur a close second..
from the 100 mile an hour power pop of i'd like to know/caught by the fuzz to the classic harmony rock n roll of lose it + time to the wonderfull acustic tenderness of clossing tracks sofa and time to go.This album lasts because it has killer variety,like all great albums.
For me they have gone on and made even better things. Init for the money/ S/t but this album was a great start.
Bring on the love for this album,a brittish gem
