Yer solid team there mate. I don't think Buckley will break into the Magpies 22 for sometime depsite an impressive showing Friday night. Cripps also an interesting choice but other than that backline is class.

You've got a young midfield which I assume you'll upgrade at least a few by mid-season. I'd ugrade to a Judd or Swan if you can squeeze them in. Rucks concerns me, no room for Sandilands? You've got to remember every team you'll be up against will have him meaning you're behind the 8 ball each week.

Risky forward line but could come off for you if things go your way. I've been to-ing and fro-ing with Boomer and he's every chance to have a blinder in his last year. Yarran is another one I like and can't understand why more coaches aren't getting on him.

Good luck mate.

My team:

BACKS
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Enright, Grimes, Otten, Heppel (Stanley, Duigan, Puopolo)

MIDS
Swan, Judd, Selwood, Pendlebury, Hibberd, Gaff (Harris, Atley, Irons)

RUCKS
Sandilands, Cox (Fraser, Smith)

FORWARDS
N. Riewoldt, Franklin, Goodes, Yarran, Krakouer, Darling, Richardson (Matera, Smith, Skinner)

Any advice appreciated!

All things being equal your backline looks fairly solid with 4 maybe 5 keepers and two early upgrade targets.

Midfield looks okay with 4 keepers but not much after that. the rookies might negate your premiums somewhat but risks also bring reward. using this tactic you must stick the course and not trade too early even if you cop some low scores here.

Rucks, well what can I say you have the two best rucks in the comp with fraser as 1st reserve.

Forwards, fairly risky here with Goodes not being a great scorer when he plays the deep forward role like last year and in the preseason. Yarran and Krak would be okay as 6th & 7th but not 4th and 5th. with your last four spots in the fwd line if you could avg 70 accross the four you would do well. Perhaps look at trading down a mid, ruck or back premium to upgrade your 6th and 7th fwds to better options.

Best of luck

Thats a SOLID team mate. Very strong backline. Only question I'd have is Yarran. But I understand you've gone for the 4 premium mids, so that hurts the bank a bit! Also, is J Irons injured??

Here's mine, comments?

DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Grimes, Otten, Duigan
( toy, lower, puopolo )

MID: Selwood, Pendlebury, Boyd, A Krakour, Swallow, Harris
( Heppell, hibberd, atley )

RUCK: Sandilands, Cox
( z smith, McCauley )

FOR: Chapman, Reiwoldt, Franklin, Didak, Pavlich, Richardson, Darling
( matera, mckernan, I smith )

Cheers!

Much better - Well done. Gilbee and Lake you should be replacing Gwilt is an ok risk Mids are a bit shallow Hille is a big risk - He's never been able to lift to the next level and now with Ryder chopping him out also. I can't see LeCras scoring any better and Zaharakis is another unnecessary risk. What's with wasting cash on Bellchambers also?

Well I guess thats their choice and risk eh?

How about putting your side up so we can have a look?
A risk is most likely taken to reap any such reward that could come from it. I can' see nay reward in choosing two players from the same team in the same line this year. I have posted a side before. I doubt I'll post another one before Round 1.

Yer great looking squad there mate!

Backs look about as good as you can get. If you avoid injuries, I imagine you to have 7 premiums in there by mid-season.

Midfielders also strong, only concern would be 2 dons in the same position but I presume you'll trade one of them by their first bye.

Rucks as good as you can get. I reckon Zac Smith will allow you to upgrade into a Petrie by the end of round 4 which in turn could get you someone like Darren Jolly by round 6.

Forward line is very intimidating! Wouldn't wanna play you first up. If I had to pick a fault I would say Chappy and Didak have played little pre-season but we have to expect that due to their age and their both prove performers.

All the best mate.

Why would he waste two trades to get Jolly if he already has Sandu and Cox?

Re. BBM

A lot of focus on MPP's there.
Personally I don't think it would be a bad idea to downgrade one of the slow starting Dids or Chappy, place Kraks in your forwards and get another premium in you Mids.

Darling starting is a fairly big risk aswell.

No guts, no Glory.
Backs

Goddard, Deledio, Broughton, Hurn, Otten, Batchelor, Stanley (Lower, Lester, Duigan)

Mids

Ablett, Swan, Burgoyne, Murphy, Bartel, Harris (Bewick, Hibberd, Curnow)

Rucks

Sandi, Cox (Bailey, Derickx)

Forwards

N Riewoldt, Rioli, Goodes, Higgins, Gray, Krakouer, Richardson (Matera, M Brown, Skinner)

What's with wasting cash on Bellchambers also?

I think I need an adequate replacement in case Hille or Sandilands go down and I think Bellchambers will really come on this year. He's not that expensive anyway, only $179,000.

Not bad. Remember Ablett will miss 2 out of the first 9 games and isn't fully fit at the moment. Also will Burgoyne have the ability to average 110?

Risks include a very thin backline and having both Higgins and Gray in the same forward line.

He's a waste of money. And when Essendon have the bye you will only have one ruckman.

backline is very, very thin. but i will look to burn trades frequently up to rd 10 to get it all up to premium staus. ablett is worth the risk, just for the fact its GAJ. a unique that averages 120+? yes please

Yes, but he'll miss two out of the first nine games. You can pick him up at Round 10 and then he misses none.

Yeah, I hear ya man. Both Chappy & Didak worry me. If they both pull up sweet for Rd 1, I'll keep em. But if one doesn't, your suggestion may be the way to go.

Darling hopefully to start just Rd 1, then I can slap a Matera in.

Alright I'll make your day.

As a cats man I'll comment on my boys first. Good to see someones ignoring the Chappy dilemma. Always seems to be injured, most of the time still seems to play and most of the time seems to score very well! Not sure if Smedts is going to be a regular this year. It'd be great to see him get games but can't see it being too many.

Backs pretty good, couple of risks in Hurley and Grimes but I reckon Hurley could have a good year. Mids are going to struggle round one. I would suggest dropping Sheppard for someone cheaper and using some coin upgrading a cheap starter. Can't see him averaging much more than a 110k player... Ruck fine but Campbell out for first 6-8 weeks. Maybe use that Shepp money to upgrade Petrie Gamble or Vesz in the FWDs to make it look a little stronger. Hope that's a help mate.

I've tried to go for a few slightly different players but I won't say it's much different to most others on this forum! Still comments and abuse always appreciated!

BACKS: Goddard, Deledio, Enright, Bock, Adcock, Otten, Heppell (Hibberd, Lower, Puopulo)
MIDS: Selwood, Pendlebury, Boyd, Boak, Karkouer, Swallow (Harris, Pittard, Callinan-aware he's out)
RUCKS: Sandilands, Petrie (Moran, Z.Smith)
FWDS: NRiewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes, Higgins, Dangerfield, Prestia (Richardson, Skinner, I.Smith)

Cash: $10,200

Only worry right now is the rucks with Petrie out and unsure if Moran will play round 1 (and 3 when roos have bye). Would love to have a Cox in there but I'm too attached too everyone now. Someone make the hard decisions for me!

Cheers guys.

Hi Everyone,
Thoughts are enright quite pricey? Really dropped off end last year?
Adcock concerns me too considering the rabble he is playing with.
Why not upgrade callinan if he is out?
My team: Any thoughts would be very welcome...
BACKS
Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Grimes, Otten, Heppell, Duigan (Toy, Puopolo, Lower)
