Below is our 2008 list. Rate how you see each player as being a Long or Short Term Prospect. Lets generate some sensible discussion on our list going forward. We need to be realistic and balanced in our thoughts. What I am interested in is how many we end up with as Long Term Prospects.

Long Term = 22 Short Term = 17

Not a pretty sight !! I deem 17 players either getting towards the end of their days, tradeable or just won't make it.

I think we are paying the price for the Connolly years - not anywhere near enough development of kids on our list. He was a car salesman - not a coach

Hi, not trolling, but Soloman a longterm investment? Isn't he nearing 30?

Granted. On current form he would hold a position over the rest. Possibly another two years on current game performance.

But your perspective is a little unbalanced. Murphy, Campbell and Bradley are all worthy of being on an AFL list at the very least for depth. Gilmore, Thornton, Schammer etc you rate as tradeable, which seems a strange comment. If they are good enough for trading, then some club wants them, and they should be able to find a role at ours.

WC won there recent premierships with numerous players whose position on a list was questionable, but they played a role.

The 22 you have on the keep list replenished with 4 new players over the next few seasons will be fine.

He's just turned 28. His body's in the best shape it's been in since about 2003. He's good to go for another 3-4 years if everything holds up IMO. I'd say that's more "mid-term".
