Hard fought game where we never really clicked, but still gave a good contest. Having said that with all of the Bombers injuries we will never get a better chance to beat them in Melb....

5 - Cousins - some really good hard ball gets today. Never stopped trying.
4 - Kerr - really kept us in it early and 3 goals was great.
3 - Wirrpunda - just a key for us. Steady in defence and added a spark when he went forward.
2 - Haynes - another top effort. Didnt quite take all his chances, but imagine how good he could be with the 2nd best defender..
1 - Gardiner - was good up fwd and worked hard in the ruck. His kicing was very good today.

Fletch and Embers were also pretty good. We needed a bit more from the rest of the team (not naming names ;) )

5. Cousins- the cobwebs are completely gone, now playing his best footy again.

4. Kerr- Unbelievable first half, (21 disposals, 3 goals) only okay after.

3. Wirrpunda- pushed up the ground, some handy touches

2. Fletcher- Solid all day

1. Embley- decent effort, didn't do a lot wrong.

apologies to Judd, Haynes, and noone else.

5. Fletcher - Did heaps of work in and under that is not shown in stats
4. Kerr - Brilliant first half but the ankle injury took it's toll
3. Haynes - Worked exceptionally hard and did some brilliant things
2. Cousins - Very hard working but a few aweful kicking disposals
1. Wirrpunda - Great in defence and good when put to half forward

5. Cousins

4. Kerr

3. Wirrpunda

2. Gardiner

1. Fletcher

would have liked to have given a vote to Chick who busted his gut chasing so many times... no one else was near it.

5. Ben Cousins - back to his best now. Ran all day and never gave up. A champion.
4. Daniel Kerr - 21 disposals and 3 goals at the half and he was well and truly BOG. He rolled his ankle just before half time and only managed 6 disposals in the second half :( The way he was playing he could have ended up with 40 touches and 5 goals and could have been the matchwinner. If only he didnt roll the ankle.
3. David Wirrpunda - good anywhere he goes, whether it was towelling up Cupido in defence or providing a spark up forward.
2. Chad Fletcher - Solid. Another 28 disposals and 5! tackles. He really has stepped up a cog this season.
1. David Haynes - played pretty well, kicked a couple, led well and took some marks. His only blemish was perhaps the most vital one, dropping the mark 30 metres out in front with 4 minutes remaining and the Eagles trailing by 9. If's and but's.

1. Kerr
2. Fletcher
3. Judd
4. Wirrpunda
5. Cousins (Would have been higher, but far too many clangers)

votes round 10

5. Ben Cousins - awesome captain's game. (Should not have been penalised for holding the ball - the tackle was high from Cupido !!)

4. David Wirrpunda - we would be lost without Wirra, whether forward or back. We need two of him.

3. Daniel Kerr - fantastic first half

2. David Haynes - my adopted player - he has really come into his own the last two week

1. Daniel Chick - a tremendous worker, I love the way he plays footy!

I think everyone is far too critical (and this is coming from the man voted "Most Critical Poster"at one stage).

Great game, strong performance, didn't quite come off for us this time.

5: Cousins - Was really really really good looking and stuff...
4: Kerr - One of the best 1st qtrs I've seen this yr, and some old fart behind me at qtr time said "kerr's been quiet today"
3: Fletcher - At least we have 1 left footer in the midfield
2: Chick - Cause he ran hard when no one else did
1: Glass - Did a very good job on Lucas
