So we should have McKay, Gov and cunners for freo

Pitto, Martin injured and Betts a rest
SPS omit for Dow

I like your changes, time for Dow give us more than glimpses, asap.
Got my fingers crossed that Kemp and Stocker show definite potential Next year too.
We’ll probably end the season with a pick 3 to 5 again we need a quality hard body midfielder, with solid footy smarts and accurate kick.

It’s pace in the backline and we haven’t actually even made an attempt to address it. When sides get on a roll and play ahead of the ball our slow defenders are really in strife. I’m not too worried but Teague is really showing himself to be quite an unimaginative coach. Plowman, Doc, Willo, SPS and Simmo are collectively just too slow. None can run a man down. Watch the Cats. When that happens against them Bews runs someone down. We even passed on the opportunity to try Cottrell in that role today. Same back 7. Every single week. Any fast play kills them. WC scored 72 points from 35 inside 50s. Incredible really.

I don’t mind losing. But try something different with that back 7 PLEASE.

I am bewildered they threw Pittonet back on ball when we were on top early in the third and TDk was actually competing. No...I’m bewildered they left him there when we started getting flogged out of the middle.
What else would you do with Pitto? TDK was tiring, Martin was already down and Pitto has no forward craft. Can't just leave him on the bench for 2 and a half quarters.

Good to see tdk and cottrell play decent games coming in.
Fish was good, looked stronger in his ability to stick a tackle.
Really need to roll the dice with some speed in the middle at times. Our one paced midfield leads to these run ons teams get.

Haha sorry mate didn’t mean to offend you.

You’re in dreamland buddy. 2 of those ins were for injuries and the other was for a player who has played 2 games. Dropping senior players underperforming is being ruthless. I think everything I wrote makes sense. I just think you are a white knight who comes to the Defense of the club after every loss. Admirable but that’s about it.

Logic needs to prevail at some point. The fact that you think Murphy isn’t a liability speaks volumes. Do you watch the defensive side of his game?

The club will survive without you coming to its rescue. Curious as to what your changes would be?

Share your logic, list your team then with the "available" in's?

I don't think curnow weitering McKay silvagni Cunningham have ever played a game together -- I don't think we have had a first pick spine curnow McKay cripps weitering Jones once
Its very frustrating isnt it and tbh not at all confident it will be resolved .
Weve missed so much development in time/games by having so many on the sidelines .
Possibly the biggest hurdle we have for this list reaching its full potential .

Interesting to hear in Teague's press conference just now that they are specifically developing Fisher as a small forward. If he keeps playing like he did today then the Papley ship may well have sailed.

Well that worries me, two players specifically recruited as midfielders SPS and Fisher not being developed for the roles they were recruited for.

It's extremely pertinent to this thread too, though.

Really? You think the umpires lost us the game today? Falls squarely on their shoulders does it?

You know very well it is also the decisions they don’t pay that influence the result.

We had dozens of tackles where the Eagles player had more opportunity than SPS to dispose of the ball, or they outright dropped it, which should have been paid as free kicks if the umpiring was consistent.

Care to guess why Shuey pointing, and screaming, at the umpire was considered less of an offence than SPS asking the umpire if he was serious? Only one cost a 50 metre penalty and goal.

I don't care what the opposition do, SPS and Crippas undisciplined acts cost us goals, it's that smiple

Yes if we turn the ball over going forward on the edge of the 50 you can pencil a score in for the opposition -- the deep entries helped us early today then for some reason that play was taken from us

It makes the betts for butler worse every week -- you can see Eddie is giving everything he just can't get hold of it -- he struggles overhead now and finding the ground ball seems to of deserted him .. I be shocked if he can go on next season and have impact
Or it could be hub life, and he's missing his wife and kids.

They changed the game in the 3rd.
It looks pretty different when we've got a free kick at CHB, and are what, 13 points up?
Instead, they get a goal, then ping Samo and they're 1 point down with all the momentum.

Let alone letting NicNat get away with it earlier in the quarter. TDK should have had an easy set shot. Goals are what matters, and the umps cost us multiple goals at crucial times.
Umpires will always make mistakes just like the players.

If the people in charge can’t make the call to let Eddie know that this is his last year then I only hope Eddie puts the club first and hangs up the boots. Would hate to see him go on next season. It could get very ugly.

When plowman said to the umpire on the goal line ‘yep I get it’ and the commentators were like ‘gee, he’s a good sport about that rubbish umpiring’ I don’t think they understood what Plowman meant lol.

lol yep. Our players looked bemused\exasperated at the decisions. At one one point they were just flat out laughing.
