I'm not sure whether my variant of your problem is better or worse. My *-supporting mate is actually REALLY NICE and not a freaking feral. I do suspect she is slowly turning to the Bulldogs (her husband's team) but she is so not *-like. It's disorienting. I'm waiting for her to club me over the head with something.I'm not sure.
