I don't know if this has been said before so sorry if I'm going over old ground!

Does anyone see similarities between North at the moment and us around 2010-2011? The talent's there and they're one of the better teams in the bottom half of the eight but they're not quite good enough for top 4. They've lost games they should have won that could have pushed them up there due to what appears to be a lack of killer instinct and desire and perhaps holes in their list. They're also rely heavily on champion player heading towards the end of their career see Harvey for them, Judd for us.

I just wonder if despite all the positive things people say about North if they are going always be there and there abouts but never one of the top sides in the comp!

North have a lot of in and under type mids. They're only class players are Dal Santo, Wells, Harvey and potentially Petrie. All over 30 or close to it.

Spot on bro, I've said the same thing. Just like us in 2011 when they're on song they can beat anyone but then they drop games to lesser teams. I think of all the sides that end up in the bottom end of the top eight, North would be feared the most.

Nothing like us in 2011. We lost every game we played against the 4 teams above us. Only lost to the dogs (Cooney's one good game for the year) and Saints in the dead rubber in the last round from the teams below us.

North won't trouble any of the top 4 teams in September because they lack class. They will embarrass themselves like they did in 2012.

I never said anything about top four sides. We did drop two games to lesser teams.

I really rate North, backed them to beat the Hawks the other week, the WCE in Perth and Sydney as well. When they are at their best they can knock off anyone.

You said "I've said the same thing. Just like us in 2011 when they're on song they can beat anyone but then they drop games to lesser teams."

Anyone would include sides in the top four. In 2011 we were 0 for 6 against teams above us and lost to 1 team outside the 8 (won 8 of 9). Even when we played at our best we couldn't beat a decent side ( close but no cigar).

North on the other hand have beaten 4 teams above them and only lost to 1. They have however have lost to 5 teams out of the top 8 (they have 5 out of 10).

The Win/loss profile between Carlton and North are very different. Very little resemblance between the 2 teams seasons.

Doesn't change the fact that at our best I felt we could have beaten anyone in 2011 (for example should have beaten the premiers), and the fact we dropped two games to lesser teams. Those are the comparisons I'm making. Not in wins and losses or matches against sides above us. I hope that clears it up for you.

Yep that clears it up . You have changed your statement from "Can beat anyone" to "felt we could beat anyone" (even though we weren't able to beat anyone decent). Got it.
