Out: Brennan
In: Ablett
Question mark: How did Demspter go in the Ressies? Did he even play? Because I'd like to see him come back at some point too.
I did think Brennan provided a good contest around the ground. And he didn't fluff too many disposals. But that shot on goal shows there's still an element or two to his game that needs some polish.
Leo seemed confident it would only be a one week injury during his half time interview during the game. But I think Grundy showed enough that he can at least provide enough of a stopping role and a little pressure around the packs against another struggling side in Melb to allow Leo to get back to 100% with another week off.
I'd like to see Schmidt retain his spot. His tackling has really impressed me. Some might be concerned about his pace, but I don't think there's another tackler in the side who can slam his opponent into the dirt as well as Schmidts's been doing in the last couple of rounds. I keep expecting to see the stretcher come out if after he gets his hands on them. Plus he has goal sense which is pure gold in a midfield/bench that struggles to score.
The question for Melb is how many quarters will their senior group decide to provide. 1 or 2 won't even put them within 8 goals against the Swans. But if they stick it out, this could be a danger game. So I hope all who travel down/up for this one get right behind the red and white (unfortunately I can't make it to this one.
