Am I wrong or is Lachie Plowman's DE flattering given his overall game? He was very hesitant and didn't put his body on the line in contests especially in the first quarter.

Put his head over it and got smashed twice early, looked a bit shaken up. Came good though and was one of our better players.

Feel a bit gutted at that which in itself is great. Really had a crack, just lacked a little polish. When we don't have to carry a few of the older blokes we'll be looking pretty good.

Plowman, Marchbank, Pickett and Macreadie really impress me (cheers GWS). Doc and Murph had good second halves, though SD turned it over too much. Smedts was good first half. Rowe smashed Hogan also.

Bit to like and a fair bit to work with. Thomas wasn't terrible either, only fair I mention that.

You are wrong IMO. Was huge the whole game. Deliver of the ball was excellent and took some very good marks.

I don't disagree with his delivery and marking but in the first quarter he hung back in at least two contests when the ball was there to be won.

Murph v sloppy but had a crack
Gibbs had a 'mare, he had more than a couple handbreak moments and offered little defensive running.. not good enough from a supposed leader.
Macreadie & Marchbank will both be quality players long term if their bodies hold up.
In all, i was expecting a solid loss given the respective lists but crumbling in that manner late is disappointing, hopefully it lights a fire amongst the group going forward.

Excellent effort from our kids but still to much dead wood running around especially from our older players.

White / Rowe / Dennis and Daisy all were terrible while offering nothing.

Smedts is not exciting me with his kicking skills either. Lots of positives to take out of it though from our young brigade but all the above mentioned players need to be omitted for kids.

Casboult needs a kick up the arse and he is better than what we are seeing.

Agreed. Our senior playes let us down in the last 10 mins. Difference is most of them let us down all day (gibbs, doc, simmo, krooz).
Kids did nothing to keep us in it. Good or bad.

Cripps needs to be promoted to captain next season. He just has grunt and passion and lifts those around him. Murph is too placid and introverted. Both played well though.

Samo will be good, so too Pickett.

Back line is looking good with the pick up of Marchbank.

Just want to point out - the look of disappointment on Jack's face after the siren is why I know we will be ok again.

Was impressed with all the youngster's bar Charlie, Weits also was only ok.

The older brigade were very disappointing. Same old shit from Gibbs, Murphy didn't know what guernsey to give the ball to, Armfield was useless and Casboult was Casboult.

Missed an opportunity to get a win in a season where they will be few and far between.

One observation is that we failed to hang onto tackles. Perhaps it was the harder, bigger-bodied Dees player, but either way, it made the difference of 2 or 3 goals in their forward 50
