Given where we are vs where they are and how they have won, anything inside their margins for the first 2 rounds (63,61) should be viewed positively.

We are up against it and it'll be interesting to see how we fight.

hopefully we give it a red hot crack.
Any side who are clinical moving forward and have weapons up front will be a big challenge for us. The most pleasing thing about the win was how gelled the backline moved, maybe a sign that we could be more up for this type of game? A long way to go but hoping for a real crack at it.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t think we can have Arch and Lmac in the same team. Given Lmacs start to the year I’d have him continue beyond Arch’s ban and then Arch to become Lmac (but better) when able.

We looked much better balanced down there with Finn in there, as apposed to the two stoppers and relying completely on Daniel

Pink played so much better than Logue did in Rnd 1 and through the pre-season also. It helped enormously.

Have to stop the easy supply to there big forwards. Must put doubt in them early . Perhaps complacency from the Crows might help. Win the midfield battle in any game crucial especially against them. There forward line is potent. Xerri needs a massive game it all starts with him.

For all the talk about their forward line, ours may have started arguably only just behind them as a unit, comp wide after 2 rounds.

The only thing that limited ours in Rnd 1 was some bad goal kicking and horrendous entries from our mids.

Simpkin is virtually playing the same role as Rankine. As a +1 midfielder for most of the game that drifts forward of center. And averaging 27 touches and a goal a game doing it. He's not as dynamic as Izak, but I think he will start getting some media if he continues with those numbers.

Sheezel/Parker is playing the same role as Keays does for them also as the +2 mid at times.

Curtis and Rachele are probably the two best medium forwards after the opening 2 rounds and their stats are virtually the same.

Larkey is sitting atop the Coleman. Thilthorpe is doing it all in the air and infront of goal. But I thought Nick was really good early in the game yesterday, hitting the ball on the lead.

JD has easily been as impactful as Tex.

Think we are underselling it slightly.

I've almost been apprehensive to enter this thread, its been so euphoric for the past day, now I don't want to descend from the cloud, haha.

But... dare we dream, folks? We've got the longest odds of any fixture this weekend, so given our history at AO, it would feel like a breaking of a long shitty curse.

Gonna be tough! That place is a curse.

🤣I’m telling you here and now, OF, a 59 point loss will not be viewed positively by any stretch of the imagination. We need to get within 4 goals for that to kick in, IMO.

KD was not amazing on the weekend, not horrible, but i wouldn’t mind bringing in another tall and he’s the best one to play tall/small. Play Comben on Curtin and let him intercept, Pink to Fogarty, Corr to Thilthorpe and Dawson to Tex, but really can move them to whomever. I’d have Tucker as sub if we need to go smaller.

Phillips I’m 50/50 on. I wouldn’t mind him shadowing Crouch, stop the extractor of their bunch. But I back in our guys to get on top. Just don’t let it get outside of the contest too much where they can get into space. The other is Stephens, the crows have a lot of gut runners, might be useful to have our best runner in the side and has been fine when played so far.

l really believe this game can go either way for us but all l want is to see us carry on from where we left off against Melbourne. If we can continue to show that effort then l'm be happy. No more 1 step forward to steps back. Its now more steps forward and less steps back.

l'm thinking there should be no change in the team. If Wilphil can tag Crouch for 3/4 and stop his contibution then so be it and then sub him out again. Some clubs might have a permanant (Super)sub so why cant a club have a player who can negate another player for 3/4 and help set up a win by doing it...Wilphil might be the sort of player who cannot play for a whole game but give us 3/4 of h100% effort and help in the final outcome of a game.

Heading over for the game.

Hope to run into none of you over there.

They are white white hot. Their forward line is probably the best in the league.

If we can lose by less than 5 goals after what they did to St Kilda and Essendon we are going alright.

Suspect there will be no changes.

Understand some will expect Phillips to be dropped, but no midfielders in the VFL did enough to earn a call-up.
We didn't have any playing in the VFL. Unless you include Duursma who's miles off. If Phillips came out it would be for Fisher and the midfield slightly restructures.

He says in the video they had a few drinks. I dont like it. Getting ahead of themselves. Hard works done, crack a beer? Pfff
I’m sure they kept things under control. Clarko’s not going to allow that.

The Crows have recruited tremendously well (stolen a few good best 22 players from other sides), their forward line is arguably the best in the competition and some of their younger players are starting to establish themselves. They're a very well balanced side, yeah their midfield might be a slight weakness but it's definitely doing the job at the moment.

As a side they're a few years ahead of us and by any objective metric should be favourites and should beat us on Sunday.

All I want is a fairly competitive effort - anything under 7 or 8 goals would be acceptable imo.

We need to avoid an 80+ point beating at all costs.

A lot of them have been through this misery along with us, they deserve a few beers, if they back it u they can get plastered every week like our team in the 90's did every week.
