Should give Schofield a chance to do some KP defending. I noticed against the Hawks we played him forward for a bit and then we subbed him off. It's almost as though he didn't know what to do with him.

The good news for both Masten and LeCras in coming back in say 6 weeks - is that it won't completely have wrecked the work they did in preseason building their fitness base.

Lecca in particular sounds like he is already able to run in straight lines

Went to the open session today. LeCras, Brown and B.Jones were nowhere to be seen. Masten was doing handball drills and having some snaps on goal, no running but looks unhampered by his knee injury. Swift looked a little sore and Waters had his arm in a brace.

I was there too. Hams was practicing running on stilts, Lycett was training with the first team and Dean Cox was practicing his new role down at FB

Word is they are going to drop NicNat back to play on Jurrah and bring Lycett in for Brown....

With Mitch now out for 8-10 weeks who think he may be put on the LTI and upgrade either Houlihan or Broome (who is the leading Goal kicker in the WAFL with 18 goals atm....)

Bones- Was showing real good form and may have gotten a game against the Dees if he didn't get injuried.

Brown- Was doing a decent job against the Talls this year and I believe may ask to be traded at the end of the year for a fresh start..

Waters- I suspect i will end up being a season ender for Jangles.

Lecca- Back in 2 weeks....No I dont think so, maybe 4 more but not 2, they wont risk it this early in the season. If we were a possibility of finals and this was Rnd 22-24 then I would have said Possible but not at Rnd 4.

Neates- Im still really keen on him and think if he gets over his injury he will be a standout.

Kerr- Starting to get some run back in his legs, will be at full strength in about 3 or 4 weeks and then he will break games open again. Looking good.

Just running some numbers out of boredom to see which of our injured players is most important and I came up with this:

Since the start of the 2007 season West Coast has won 35.1% of their games. In that time, when Waters has played, we've won 39.2% of our games. When LeCras has played we've won 35.6% of our games; and when Brown has played, we've won 31.7% of our games.

Since the start of Masten's Career, West Coast have won 25.7% of their games. When Masten plays West Coast have won 26.2% of their games.

It's pretty unrefined but based on that our most important injured players, in order, are:

Waters (+4.1%)
LeCras (+0.5%)
Masten (+0.5%)
Brown (-3.4%)

Geez - the rumblings on lecras are getting stronger and stronger.

He's in full training other than tackling. That's an amazing situation given the initial prognosis.

By any means - even is he's back by Essendon - to miss only 3/4 games is a massive win.

yep, 6-8 weeks would reall erode it

by the sounds of it lecras had been running in straight lines after 2 weeks

masten i think has only just commenced running - so would have lost a little bit
